When it comes to Chinese/Japanese I think most of us are fond of the one down the corner shop.. Until I went Nobu, I didn't rate any oriental fancy restaurant I've ever been, by this I mean i wouldn't rush back. I've been to Gilgamesh, Roka and hakasan (London). This could possibly be the fact I'm so drawn to the... More

I have always loved Nobu and have dined at several locations. My dinner at the West Hollywood location could not have been worse. To start, they asked for a credit card upfront for the reservation but when we arrived the restaurant was empty. I suppose this is policy but was not a nice way to start our experience. Despite the... More

Having dined at many eateries over the last few years we decided to see what Nobu LA was about. Unfortunately we were massively disappointed. Food is overpriced for the quality and value returned. My husband ordered the Beef Wagyu which at $200 you would imagine would taste amazing - regardless of size. Unfortunately not. It was the most tender beef... More

Was in for dinner the other night. I'm not a sushi person but there were plenty of other options. Field Greens with Matsuhisa Dressing was wonderful as well as their Kushiyaki options. Would definitely go back.

Nice place for a romantic dinner or hang out with friends. Server was excellent explaining the menu and making suggestions. Tasty cocktails, Spicy tuna roll tasted freshly caught! and the King Crab tempura was delicious as well.

The food was excellent. Really excellent. I've eaten in many Nobu restaurants across the globe. This one was a real let down. The service was intrusive, constant and inappropriate. We were rushed through our food: plates were snatched from our table before we'd even finished chewing. I was so disappointed. We were in and out of the restaurant in 45... More

My adult children wanted to dine here on our visit to LA. They made our reservation online before we left on our trip, Friday evening at 7:30 pm so it was steady. They had studied the menu online prior so we all knew what we were going to sample before our date. They each decided to try the Nobu style... More

My daughter wanted to go to the Nobu so I agreed. Since we did not reserve a table in advance, there was none available for us. They suggested we eat at the bar which we did. The waiter was very patient with us since we couldn't decide what to eat. What he suggested was absolutely delicious, never had such good... More

Recently had dinner at Nobu West Hollywood and it was delicious. We all had rolls and tried different appetizers. I had a great bottle of Pinot Grigio that was very reasonable.

I visited with work colleagues last week and the food, service and ambience were just the best - we asked the waiter to decide what he thought was best and it was just sensational in every way. Thanks a million Nobu - it is however beginning to get really expensive

Staying in West Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
West Hollywood
For years, West Hollywood has been known as a hub for the LGBT communities in Los Angeles. Today it still maintains the title, but has also become the “it” neighborhood for the entertainment industry’s up-and-comers. Producers, directors, writers and aspiring actors call this area home. Known for great boutique shopping, vintage clothing stores, home décor shops and fitness studios, West Hollywood is a grid of wide boulevards and narrow residential streets. The neighborhood also has a concentration of the most avant-garde restaurants in Los Angeles (rivaled only by the burgeoning restaurant scene Downtown). A trip to the iconic Sunset Strip, with its many clubs, music venues, hotels and flashing lights won’t be forgotten.
