I love Indian food; I looked forward to our recent trip to London in part because I wanted to find good Indian restaurants. I have been searching for good Indian food in our area without great success. Bombay's lamb boti kabab, saag paneer and chicken...tikka masala all were delicious. We loved their naan which came with baked-in herbs; they had a variety of other naans as well. Reasonably priced, the restaurant is spacious for its small size, very comfortable, with murals of Indian life painted on the walls. Bombay will be my go-to local restaurant for Indian food. Go there!More

This is our go to take out for Indian food in Walnut Creek. We typically order using the BeyondMenu app. I’m from England and so I’m a bit of an Indian food snob. Bombay consistently gives us really good dishes and I love the custom...spiciness option. We typically order medium spice, which provides great flavors and put a few beads of sweat on my forehead. The food is also always ready as scheduled. The restaurant itself is a bit “hole in the wall” and the staff are not super friendly, but the food is always very good and that’s what’s most important.More

We moved to East Bay from England in 1994 and initially struggled to find good Indian food here in the USA. However, with all the Indian tech workers here in the Bay Area we’ve become increasingly happy to discover better and better Indian food. Bombay...Restaurant in Walnut Creek has become our go-to location for Take Out Indian food and we get their food at least twice per month. The restaurant is fine to eat in, but doesn’t typically have a great atmosphere and is a little hole-in-the-wall. However, Take Out is consistently good. They customize spiciness to our liking (we like Medium) and have a great range of meat and vegetarian dishes at good prices. We have Take Out night last and it was especially good - better than I had in England on vacation two weeks ago. Our favorite dishes are Lamb Rogan Josh, Chicken Tikka Masala, Bindi Bhaji, Channa Sag and Bengan Berta.More

Went in for the buffet lunch. Chicken Tikka and garlic naan we're excellent and the others selections as well. Wait staff were surly at best. They must not need repeat customers or else the take out food keeps them open.

We had heard that this was a great spot for Indian food and also that it was a locals hidden secret. Sure it was crowded and had a wait, but the line moved fast and we were glad we waited. Our server was happy to...explain dishes and willing to take his time to please. Out group of four shared three different dishes which each had unique flavors. The curry is not over the top hot but close to perfect. Would love to have a restaurant like this in my state!More

I had such a strong desire for a good curry. I found it at Bombay Indian Restaurant. I had the chicken coconut curry (medium heat) and it was delicious. The most important to me other than the quality of the food and cleanliness of the...restaurant is the attitude of management, in this case no doubt the owners. They were so appreciative of compliments and very kind. Still tasting the tender chicken and the delicious flavors of that curry.More

This owner used to have a restaurant near Taco Bell on Newell and we were regulars. One day when we went they were closed down. A year later we decided to try Bombay and were we surprised to see the owners there!!!! It was like...coming home. Their lunch buffet is small, but always great! Live their Dal Makhani! Now we are regulars again!More

Disappointed, I love Indian food all of us ordered different plates and temperatures nobody's order was correct and one totally forgotten. Had to ask for Sprite three times. Butter chicken was the only thing I would recommend. Try in the city much better and same...price.More

My wife and I ordered dinner which included Tandoori lamb chops. When the dinner came we tried a piece of Lamb Chop and could not even chew it. We told the waiter and he took it back and told the owner. Nothing... he didn't offer...us anything else or let us know what the owner said. Later he come over and asked: will there be anything else... I said no. He brought me the bill ...the entire bill, no discount, no deduction for the $17.95 lamb chops. I said are you really going to charge me for the lamb chops that we didn't even eat? He said let me go ask the owner. He came back he said: we changed the bill instead of $17.95 it'll only be $8.95 for the lamb chops. I paid. I left. I Won't Go Back. And it's too bad because the rest of the food was good.More
