We had a great table outside by the koi pond. The service was great. We ordered the beet/orange salad, risotto, tacos, beef short ribs, ahi tartare, Alaskan cod, and the chocolate souffle for dessert. Everything was cooked to perfection with the exception of the risotto...More

Overall, I still love this place. Food. Drink Selection. Ambiance. Service. Consistency, especially over a long period of time, is hard for any place, more so for a restaurant. These guys deliver night in, night out. That said, I would be remiss for not mentioning...More

Charming Walnut Creek favorite we have visited for 10 years. Great service and impeccably prepared small plates and curated wine flights; all with the freshest, local ingredients. Come hungry. You'll have a hard time choosing dishes.

$$$ Both indoor and outdoor seating. Not only is the food presentation done with attention, it’s delicious. For the price, servings are small.

Love their outdoor seating this time of year. We had a wonderful small plates dinner last month. I especially like to try the flights of wines. Food always great, lots of wonderful tastes. Try their shooters of soup, always something new and interesting.

Excellent mixologist made the perfect Manhattan! Plan to order a lot & share. Portions are very small, some big enough for only one person. Short ribs over polenta came with 2 small, tasty pieces. Lamb riblets were enough for 2. Octopus was nicely grilled &...More

Came with colleagues, we enjoyed a good portion of the menu, including the sweet pea risotto, cacio de pepe, pork tenderloin, calimari, ceviche, ahi tartare...and topped it off with the profiteroles. I would order everything again. The only thing I didn't love was the cherry...More

Go online to see recent menu items. My vegetarian daughter had a hard time but she's also glutin & dairy free.

Va de Vi translates to "It's all about wine!" in Spain's Catalan language. Of course, it's all about food, too! Chef Mike Fischetti's menu encourages diners to explore and share a variety of eclectic, international small plate portions. Bold tastes encourage diners to explore the large international wine list, easily navigated by tasting notes. Many wines are offered by the glass in addition to pre-arranged flights to allow diners to compare different wines and discover new favorites. A warm, casual elegance defines the ambiance. Outdoors, dine under an ancient oak tree or grab a table in the picturesque lane.
