The Walnut Creek Yacht Club is my favorite restaurant in the area. They have the best fish dishes and the absolute best garlic fries! I can never get enough of the fresh bread, oysters and muscles. Their cocktails are amazing and their service is fabulous! Wish I could go all the time!

We frequently dine at the Walnut Creek Yacht Club Restaurant. They have an annual lobster fest that is wonderful and very affordable. Make sure you make reservations; it is a sell-out. The rest of the year is always wonderful, too. They serve a great variety of fish and shellfish. The wait staff is enthusiastic. Cocktails and wine are great. Well... More

Oysters, lobster- this is the place! They even have side dishes that our vegetarian friends liked. You can join their club for special offers.

Walnut Creek is separated from San Francisco Bay by the Oakland Hills so the name of this restaurant brings a smile, as intended. The menu looks inviting, too. However the preparation is underwhelming. Maybe we ordered the wrong things. My wife's trout was so thin it must have starved and my bass was a small share of a smallish fish.... More

There are always dozens of new and usually great restaurants in this booming town. The Yacht Club is right downtown and has had consistently excellent food for almost 20 years. Their fish is always fresh, never frozen and you can tell. It is worth a visit to their website is worthwhile so that you know what and who you are... More

For some reason, I am more likely to review restaurants I visit during travel than those I frequent close to home. 'Tonight I decided to review my go-to restaurant in Walnut Creek is the Walnut Creek Yacht Club. I've eaten here at least twenty times and have never been disappointed ---not once. First, let me clear up potential misconceptions. WCYC... More

I liked this place, and my seafood stew was really good, but others were not so pleased with their fish meals. It was too sparse for the price and not that tasty. I would go back, but would order the same thing - yum yum!

Guess, my biggest complaint, would be the parking. Enjoyed, the clam chowder and the lobster roll, with a beer. I do agree, the place leaves a little to be desired in the way of ambiance, maybe could use bit of sprucing up. I've never had a meal in the outside patio area, always inside. I spent a lot of years,... More

I've been coming here forever!!! I love this restaurant, from the service to the decor to the amazing dishes made with fresh seafood. Even in SF I've had fewer wonderful seafood experiences. The Wedge with Tobasco dressing, the raw bar, the daily fish, I've had anniversaries here, birthdays here, my son has taken cooking classes here and I've begun dating... More

Our favorite restaurant in the area for the tastiest, freshest fish anywhere, and the best bar and wait staff you can find. 'Nuff said. They have fun special events, too. Be sure to sign up for their loyalty club. You won't regret it.
