We met our friends at George's. We love their hamburgers and fries. The cook cooks the burgers to your desire. The meat is fresh, along with the buns, grilled onions and the fresh tomatoes, lettuce, etc....Yum, yum. They are a great place to visit and eat.

The burgers are great, you add what you want from the vegetable bar. The "Shake", more like a frosty is excellent. Fries are a little too greasy for me. They don't take a debit card only cash. Family owned, very friendly, nice people.

My wife and I have been going there for years when we want a real quality hamburger. The quality of the meat is outstanding and the help yourself condiments to dress your burger are always fresh. Although the decor, including tables and chairs are old this establishment is always very clean. This is a high quality hamburger rendezvous and not... More

Fresh beef, and no frill toppings make this one of the best burgers in town! I need to go back to try some other menu items.

Metmby brother and his wife for late lunch. Parking is a premium but once in the rest is good. I had a cheeseburger with grilled onions, everyone else just had a hamburger. We all split one order of fries of which I had just one. They were just OK as far as I was concerned, but I did notice when... More

My wife & I have been going to George's for years. When we want a real quality burger, we go there. They used to grind their own beef but I don't know if they still do. Self serve condiments for the burger are always fresh. Each time we go there, I always get the impression it's where the regulars go.... More

We were served barely average burgers (poorly seasoned), bad fries (how do you miss so badly on fries?) and a strange concoction that is called a "shake" at George's. This place must have really "slipped" because many of the reviews on this site are incredibly generous. FYI - This place takes CASH ONLY... a concept that is as stale as... More

No frills, but excellent burgers. If you are looking for a step above fast food and you want a tasty burger without all the chemicals, go to George's.

My family has been eating at George 's for 20+ years. It has been, and still is, the best place for casual burgers and fries in Walnut Creek. The burgers are always cooked to order, as ordered; if you ask for it medium rare, you get it medium rare every time. The fries are reliably hot and crispy. Not much... More
