Had first visit here for brekkie with the family. I would say it was about 50% full but there seemed a level of stress between the waiting staff, kitchen staff and guy making coffees. Lots of running around, and serious discussions on order tickets. Menu is good but does seem to focus most of the dishes on something with eggs.... More

Read the reviews on TA and went looking for this hideaway cafe... Definitely worth the search as the food, service, decor, & prices are great! We sampled a salmon steak, cheeseburger, and scotch fillet. Very tasty...thankyou very much! Decor is worth leaving your seat to take a closer look at...its a Blues music themed venue with Blues softly playing in... More

We had a team lunch here, sat outside in the shade and it was lovely. Their food comes out quickly and i highly recommend their salmon steak, which comes with a Kale salad. I also hear their coffee is great too, although i havent tried it.

We stayed for a few days at Sydney Olympic Park. One of the problems with this area, as I see it, is the lack of eateries. Sure there are the fast food places. But hidden away in the gardens of the Abattoir precinct is a gem. Abattoir Blues was where we chose to have breakfast and an occassional lunch, joined... More

There's not a great deal of quality choice at Olympic Park, so this is slightly different - being in an older building it has a charm that the rest don't have. Food was good and reasonable price. The drinks were a bit limited in choice and could really benefit from having some beer and cider on tap. Service was so-so,... More

Came for a coffee one afternoon and was pretty good so came back for a relaxed breakfast and it's the best in the area. I had sourdough fruit toast with butter which was excellent. My companion had the breaky burger which he said was good (on a brioche bun so a bit sweet for his taste, though). Coffee was good.... More

Abattoir Blues is hidden away in Sydney Olympic Park's historic 1900's abattoir building, just off Dawn Fraser Avenue, that keeps the integrity of our history through our simple offering.

Enjoy a quiet coffee in our vintage cafe or soak up the sun in our heritage courtyard garden.

On Friday nights and during events at the Park settle in for a few drinks - we're just across the road from the Sydney Olympic Park Train Station, and enjoy local live music.

We encourage you to book during events and we also have competitive catering options, as well as function spaces to create memorable events.
