The VP has tons of charm and ambiance, fanciest place in the area. We often go there for special occasions, or just when you want to feel special. You need to give yourselves plenty of time, this is not a place to hurry through dinner. The menu always has great items and usually many seasonal specials too. Just about everything... More

Expect great service, great food and and a beautiful atmosphere when you go to the VP. Reservations aren't required, but will guarantee a table. Hostess Olivia welcomes guests and helps servers by attending to guests' needs. Chef/Owner David Vartanian strolls through and greets his guests as they delight in his amazing cuisine. There are no favorite dishes here as they... More

The service is wonderful--the staff were extra attentive and went the distance to make our dining experience pleasurable. The food was delicious and the desserts are divine. A great place for special occasions or when you want a fine dining experience.

My husband and I celebrated our 7 year anniversary at "The VP". We were able to make a reservation on the weekend; they provided us a complimentary glass of champagne, which was absolutely delicious. Each of us ordered a steak dish -both were prepared perfectly. The mushroom soup they served was SOOOO GOOD. And of course, their desserts were so... More

A little pricey, but an excellent meal both visually and tasteful. Great service and ambiance. My sister family years ago hosted a tea for 10 12 year olds. Their daughter is now 27. But the vintage press has been tops on our restaurant list in Visalia.

This type of restaurant is a hold-over from a bygone era: a grand room, heavy, large, dark wood furniture with brocade prints, and a touch of tradition in the surf-and-turf menu. For lunch, the Peda Burger made with beef and lamb, onion, and tomato, is succulent and filling, but not too filling. Swarming with blue-hairs at lunch, the ambiance really... More

Vintage Press is one of my "go to" restaurants whenever I am in Visalia. The place is simply charming - very old world which translates to relaxing. The food offerings are just right and every dish i've ordered have been wonderfully prepared. I also like the idea of the chef taking the time to mingle with the patrons - a... More
