Pretty much the same menu overly sauced and overly charged with too many flavors. Overall good food but not to the discerning traveler, the ambiance is great and the service is very good. They cater to the good people that are willing to pay the price. A modern cook that captured what the local land has to offer in an... More

First off I would like to say that I'm not sure how anyone has ever rated this restaurant bad. It was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we entered we were warmly greeted and were told "happy anniversary" by different staff. We then were seated and were offered complimentary champagne because of our anniversary! What an awesome touch and a great... More

We were staying in Visalia for my birthday so we could visit Sequoia National Park. We looked on TripAdvisor for reviews of the local restaurants and picked the Vintage Press and were highly impressed. It is a beautiful Victorian building, and just lovely inside. There is an old fashioned bar, complete with the old time cash register. The lighting was... More

Second trip to VP for brunch, this time as a pre-Christmas family get together. When we arrived we were greeted with an empty reception and no hostess to be found. Other staff were wandering around aimlessly and that set the tone for the rest of the visit. Having waited about five minutes the hostess arrived and we were seated in... More

I'm sitting here at a great old wooden bar, finished with my delicious crab cake appetizer/dinner and I haven't seen the bartender since she sat my food down. I travel for work so eat solo often and sit at the bar always. I'm the only patron at the bar and only 4 tables are sat. She could have sold AT... More

Some great some just needed to be better for the High end restaurant it is. We had a business dinner choosing to sit in the bar area. Nice area as it always has been. Our guest arrived then drinks were ordered. Soon a different hostess came back informing us they did not carry the beer that was ordered. Ok, change... More

A friend and I were walking in downtown Visalia looking for a place that might have salads. We stopped on of the locals and they recommended Vintage Press and gave us directions. It was about 1/2 mile walk from where we started. This place was well worth the wait. The ambience was wonderful. Tiffany lamps, stain beveled glass and woodwork... More

This was my first visit here, and it was for a business dinner. We had a large group, so I'm not sure if that's the reason why our waitress was not as attentive as expected. For being an upscale restaurant, service was somewhat disappointing. It was not bad, but it definitely did not even make it to above average. My... More

One of the very few nice places in the region and it lives up to its reputation. Every year for the past 11 years, I come here for a business dinner and the consistency is outstanding. Staff is well trained and very good at attentive service. Food has never disappointed albeit not much to screw up given the limited 2page... More
