I have recently been lucky enough to move to the area, close enough to enjoy this hidden gem.. the locals know all about it, but for us newcomers ... wow. If you decide to visit Historic Route 66 this should be on your agenda, limited hours make it even more special. I have had breakfast and lunch here, and they... More

Very out of the way spot near Victorville, went for breakfast after a morning meeting. Average bacon / egg combo. Service is meh, sat at the counter and still struggled to get their attention / check. If you are a regular, then you are of course slightly better taken care of....I guess that is understandable for that part, not much... More

Stopped here on our way across the I-40. Very small place, been here for ages; has historical marker on property. You drive off the I-15, going west, and soon you round a bend and there it is. I hope they never change the color--turquoise-ish green! Catches the eye and is very refreshing, I think. Husband had the Valentine's Day special... More

Have heard of this place for a long time, work close by but had never gone....decided to finally try it with a work friend, called in because we heard the place gets crowded, and it's a good thing we did - the small (tiny) place was packed. My breakfast was just a wonderful homemade meal! My friends pastrami sandwich was... More

Really enjoyed our visit to Emma Jean's and loved the fact that the diner has not been modernised in any way. Well worth going out of your way for.

Emma Jean's opened in 1947 and is little changed since then. It may well be the most authentic diner on Route 66. I recommend the patty melt. On my first visit, I was overwhelmed with how big it was, but on a more recent stop, I learned that you can get either a 1/2 lb. or 1/4 lb version. Either... More

The place was featured on Triple D. Very small place so we had to wait for a room at the counter but it was worth it. The other diners were good about moving down a seat, as needed to make room for new arrivals. Friendly place and family owned. Caution portions are generous. I had the Brian burger and it... More
