Good food, clearly a favorite of locals. We shared a dozen oysters, some fish tacos and some very good drinks at the bar.

Spent the night at this cute country hotel. It’s an old farmhouse hotel with just a few rooms. The bar was hoping and a lot of fun. Dinner was very good but like the bar quite crowded. We didn’t mind the right tables but if...you are looking for quiet this is not the place For you. Waitress was very good even though she was quite busy.More
We saw "Rocker Oystafellas" on Check Please. Looking forward to the warm, friendly ambience was fulfilled the minute we walked in. Amy,our waitress, "ROCKED".SHE WAS DELIGHTFUL,HELPFUL, AND SO FUNNY. The pork chops served to my husband were phenomenal. He was very happy with his meal;as was...the case for the rest of us; me with southwest fried buttermilk dipped chicken accompaniments of the best smokey flavored collards and mashed potatoes with a redeye gravy.Soooo good. It was well worth the drive.More
This quaint inn in tiny Valley Ford was revamped by Shona and Brandon a few years ago. They brought new energy and southern inspired food to the place along with fresh California local cuisine. The bar is amazing for such a small space and fully...stocked. Years ago Shona served me a praline liquer that I love and can't find elsewhere. Everything here is terrific but as a transplanted southerner I am partial to the shrimp and grits and their rocker oysterfellers. And they often have southern caviar, pimento and cheese. I arranged several holiday parties there for my yacht club and they did an outstanding job, even opening early and providing a band. A terrific time was had by all. They can do that for you too!More
The food here is absolutely incredible. We’ve been here several times and are never disappointed. The staff is so friendly and helpful and I like that it’s a nice place to go with the family or on a date. We will definitely be back again...soon.More
My husband and I enjoy this restaurant often. We always get wonderful food with great service. Make sure to get a reservation, as this place is popular with both locals and tourists. You know it’s good when locals keep returning!
Ricotta cheese dumplings and vegetables was delicious. Dessert, newly added plum tart was superb must eat. We will have it again tomorrow.
From the moment we arrived, the vibe was friendly. The margaritas are excellent. Some of the best baked oysters ever. Excellent fish tacos, chicken wings. A fun place to stop for relaxing with some great food and drink.
We went to this restaurant for a birthday. The food was really good and the service was excellent! It was a fun atmosphere with the saloon attached to the restaurant. The drinks were really good also.
We each got the salmon with caramelized brussel sprouts and jambalaya. Deviled eggs topped with a fried oyster. And 6 grilled oysters. The salmon was very moist and the deviled eggs and grilled oysters were good. The service was good and friendly. The only issue...I had was that it was pricey. I guess it’s California but in New Orleans and other areas of the south the thought of $42 for a dozen grilled oysters is a shocker. But the food was good and we liked the ambiance of the place.More
