For a non-US tourist this is a treat; an authentic burger joint with excellent burgers. Great food and good coffee.

We typically enjoy their breakfasts - they have nice eclectic California fusion breakfast options that are always tasty and served with a smile. Their kid options for lunch/dinner are served in a fun car-box that kids love. It's a wonderful casual restaurant.

The diner atmosphere is pretty cool, including jukeboxes at the tables. The food was decent, though not extraordinary.

Lucky find for us today - our eateries are often chosen because of parking available for the motor home. Google the place while you wait for your order and read about the history and the connection to American Graffiti movie.50's theme throughout- sharp and friendly server. $32 is a little spendy for lunch but this is California I guess, and... Folks for a truly amazing experience stop by this place here. The service is A plus, the food is just as good, and the atmosphere is great. Loved watching the manager so hands on with everything. The service was quick and the food was incredible..... Our new favorite place to stop and eat.

We always enjoy Mel's for a quick dinner or lunch. The décor is centered around the 59's - 70's high school. They have old fashioned table top jukeboxes where you can certainly find some favorites from high school. They even serve the milkshakes in a tall glass along with the remainder in a tall tin cup. Also, we love their... More

We had a late night dinner snack while staying in a nearby hotel, and then had breakfast there the next day before leaving town. Totally 50s-60s-70s theme, which was cool, but the really impressive part was the cheerfulness of the wait staff. Food was excellent and portions large (had to take remainders in a box, both times). Nifty extra was... More

The food was fantastic, not the type we normally get to enjoy. Service was superb. Coffee was actually quite good, not something I expect in most American cafes. Music and ambieance was nice.
