Inside tables are extremely small and everyone eats very close together. The ambiance is a little better out the back door where there are tables facing a parking lot that have a little separation. No reservations so you may be waiting on a bench on...the front sidewalk or standing in the parking lot. Stainless brewing vats take up part of the restaurant. Take-out is available. A family operation with friendly, casual service. The owners brew their own beer and make wine with grapes from Paso Robles. Both are serviceable but not really special. The pizzas are cooked in a small wood-burning oven clearly visible inside. They have a thin, cracker-like crust, are about 12"-14" in size and run roughly $14 or more with add ons increasing the tab. The tomato sauce has no sick or much seasoning. The restaurant must get a deal on arugula for the arugula salad is piled so high with arugula that it is enough to feed 4 people easily. A vegetarian pizza is 75% arugula piled high on top with sparse bits of vegetables. The problem I have with the pizzas is that the toppings are skimpy. I ordered a sausage pizza and there were just a few small bits of sausage scattered about. I added mushrooms (at $2 extra), and again, only a few shreds of mushrooms on the pizza. I was still hungry after finishing the whole pie. If you like small, family-run, noisy Italian joints, you will probably like this place. But you can find much better pizza elsewhere in a more conformable setting at the same prices. Personally, I won't be back.More

Ordered 2 pizzas. Took an hour to get, while restaurant was empty. Waitress was sitting down in the back. Asked half an hour in, when food would arrive and was told soon. The owners were not there. We may go back for another try, hoping...this was not normal.More

Today we ate at Centro. We ordered 4 pizzas and some drinks and had a great time. Everything was perfect until we found a bug in my daughter’s pizza. The owner was actually there when we saw it and removed it from her plate. Before...apologizing or offering us another pizza (neither of which ever happened) she immediately became defensive saying that had never happened before and it probably came from somewhere else as we were sitting outside. My child was so disgusted that she started tearing up and couldn’t eat for the rest of the night. When we asked for the pizza to be removed from our tab the owner initially refused and then when she returned with the adjusted bill, insulted the younger kids for being incredibly misbehaved. The younger child at that point started crying and when she returned with my credit card said this matter wasn’t about feelings when she was the one had insulted our party and told us we were never welcome back before asking us to leave despite not having finished the meal we paid for. Her reasoning being that they closed at 8 on Sundays (it is 8.20 pm) and she had to close, even though there were other people not pressed to leave the restaurant. She didn’t need to tell us to not come back. I hope to never come across such horrible customer service which not only disregards their customers but insults children because of something they cannot control. Simply pit: would not recommend.More

It is located in lovely old town Tustin, great area, lovely inside atmosphere, small but stylish and comfortable, the outside patio is fantastic (again, small, not for large parties, which contributes to the "hidden gem feeling"), service is always outstanding, food top notch, high quality...- not your typical run of the mill Italian, don't expect your regular American pizza, but rather an authentic taste revelation. We've tried several items on the (again) smallish menu, all outstanding!More

Centro is a family owned business that owns their own vineyard in Paso Robles Ca. They also are a micro brewery... To top off their fabulous wines and beers they serve hand made, wood fired pizzas and amazing salads. Try their cheese or meat boards...for a special treat. I almost hate to write this and share this place with others as it is small and sometimes there is a line to wait to eat. But they deserve the accolades...we simply love this place!More

My husband, son and I stopped in at this little place, located in the old part of Tustin, for a quick bite and were very pleasantly surprised. It has a wood burning oven inside with access to a small patio at the back. There is...no view to speak of but this really did not matter. The location refers to itself as a winery, micro brewery and eatery . We only concentrated on the wine which direct from the Paso Robles Vineyards. These were quite reasonably priced from $32 - $45. For our lunch we chose the viognier - a crisp buttery delicious wine at $32.00. This was accompanied by a hummus plate and beautiful focaccia pizza pieces, directly fro the oven. The hummus was smooth and delicious. This was followed by a tuna and bean salad and a frittata cooked in the pizza oven. Wonderful with eggs, sausage, red onion, mushrooms, pepper and served on a ciabatta bread with arugula. A light but very pleasant meal. The restaurant has a small menu with an antipasti, salads, panini and pizzas. They have a happy hour (Mondays from 4-6, Tues. - Thurs from 2-6). The restaurant brews its own beers on the premises as well as providing 3 "guest" beers. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the server made helpful suggestions and was very pleasant. Certainly we would go back.More

Centro, up until today, has been a local Tustin establishment that we (family, friends, and fellow professionals) have supported since its opening. Patronizing Centro has been a pleasure until the owner's son accused our group of skipping out on our tab "multiple times in the...past." Congratulations, "owner's son," you have singlehandedly managed to personally offend six community members with your false accusations of failing to pay our bill. Know your audience! When asked for specifics about the alleged failures in the past to pay our tabs, "owner's son" could not provide a single shred of evidence any proof. "Owner's son" was then provided with a credit card to pay for any of the alleged past transgressions; "owner's son" would not take the credit card......... probably because "owner's son" suddenly realized that he was flat-out WRONG. Strangely enough, the only person working at Centro with any integrity was the manager who apologized for the behavior of "owner's son." Because of the overtly offensive and horrible treatment we received from "owner's son," I, wholeheartedly, cannot recommend Centro to anybody. Without local residents supporting Centro, relying solely upon visitors to Old Town Tustin seems to be a risky business strategy. Good luck.More

I recently went to lunch with my wife at Centro. It is an intimate, family-owned restaurant in downtown Tustin featuring light Italian food, and house made wine and beer. I had the Parma Panini and it was fantastic - filled with Prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, arugula,...and basil pesto. I washed it down with a glass of Honey Cream Ale. My wife had the Funghi Pizza and enjoyed it very much. The service is always great and the atmosphere lively. You've got to try it!More

Simply straight out of Italy...Family owned and mama's recipes from the Tuscan Country side. Location is in Old Towne Tustin, the atmosphere is fascinating. Eating area is tight, but perfect for a quick bite. I love the back porch that displays grape vines, fresh basil...and herb growing garden. Family wine, olive oil fresh from the farm. Beer brewing on site, and a beautiful brick oven for fire stone pizzette....More

The micro brew and winery is what drew us in, but we were pleasantly surprised with everything else. We met one of the owners (a dad and son) who are Italian and have given the menu an Italian flair with charcuterie and cheese appetizers served...on boards, and yummy thin crust pizza (we loved the eggplant pizza). They also have salads and sandwiches which looked delicious. They sell flights/sampler sets of 4 for their craft beers and their wines. We loved the Honey Cream and both Red beers. It was a Friday night and when we left there was a line, but they do take reservations. The service was excellent and though they were very busy, we never felt rushed. There's a small inside seating section of about 8 tables, then a covered outdoor patio section too. The large exposed stainless brewing vessels, brick and wood walls and an open kitchen prep area give this restaurant an urban feel. We've been hoping for more sidewalk cafes and restaurants like this to move into Old Town to continue its revitalization. It's a cute and safe little walk-able area about 1.5 miles in size, with some buildings dating back to the late 1800's.More
