The food here is very authentic, probably service too. All the servers speak mandarin and the runner will announce the fish name in mandarin when they present it to you. Even the placemats are in Chinese. They have a bell for service on the table,...I think they are short staffed because it took a while to get our drinks. The food is really good, the price is affordable, if you want authentic Chinese food experience, definitely give it a try. Will come back!More

We arrived at 6:30pm on sunday night and there were more than 20 groups on their list. Food is suprisingly traditional sichuan flavor. Highly recommand people who want to try chinese spicy food! Price is a little bit expensive with average service quality.

I tried many different Sichuan restaurants. The impression I got from this one is really unimpressive. Spicy does not mean you lost the taste of the food. The fried beef does not tase like high quality beef but pork and it is high cost. It...makes me wonder what do they use on all other ingredients. Services is not responsive but eventually.More

If you are looking for food to numb your lips, this is not the place. There were none of those delightful szechuan peppercorns in the dishes that I saw. HOWEVER, the food was very good. We especially liked their house specialty of tea marinated pork...ribs. Worth getting. And their "original Kung Pao chicken" was different than the normal brown sauce - and our table devoured it. Their builed fish in spicy sauce was also good, but used chili flakes instead of peppercorns. Overall a good place to go with friends without having to worry for the non-spicy eaters among them.More

Our family visited Sichuan Impression several times on lunch & dinner. That's really nice experience for kids, our couple & our parents: authentic Sichuan food. Several dishes are worth of repeating trips.

A decent Sichuan (ChengDu) Restaurant with a menu beautifully displayed/designed. The restaurant was clean and appealing. Servers were cordial, pleasant and responsive. We 4 ordered the followings: 1. Qiaojiao Leshan Beef Combination (樂山蹺腳牛肉, superb, beef soup like, $20), 2. Wok-fried Kidney (火爆腰花, a very delicious...dish, $13), 3. Mapo Tofu (麻婆豆腐, a classic, $11.90), 4. Sautéed Chinese Yam (清炒山藥, not my favorite, $14) We 4 enjoyed lunch very much and the lively discussion.More

Based on recommendations from Chinese friends, we came for dinner. The restaurant was very full and has a hip design which you would not initially imagine from its modest exterior. For newcomers to Sichuan cuisine, the menu is very well presented to help you select...from the wide selection of exotic, authentic and tasty dishes. The waiters were very friendly and patient in helping us with our menu. The portions are very generous, so if you want a light meal, one dish is easily enough for two, maybe even 3 people. All of our dishes were unique and incredibly tasty - a total delight for the taste buds!More

It is the best Sichuan restaurant you can ever found in Irvine OC area. The food tastes good- mild spicy compare to authentic Sichuan taste. Service has to be up to the American cuisine standard if the price is there already.
