We just spent 4 days in the redwoods and the tiny town we stayed in didn’t have much available to eat so we ended up driving 45 min here. Loved it! Had a snootie hippy sandwich twice, mom enjoyed the muffin breakfast sandwich with avocado and larrupin (still not sure what that was?), cappuccinos we’re perfect, kombucha delish and the outdoor area while brisk in the morning was friendly and welcoming. The staff were friendly. Baked goods made great post hike snacks. If you’re looking for a great place for healthy breakfast or lunch while in the area, look no further. Or even if you’re a bit further afield, it’s worth the drive!

Nice spot in Trinidad for breakfast. Lots of food & drink options, friendly staff, great customer service. I came here with 3 of my friends, we all ordered something different and each one was delicious. I’ll be coming back here many times.

We stopped by this place coincidentally when we stopped for gas in Trinidad. Place looked cool and we decided to make it our mid-day stop. Coffee, croissants and the tuna melt was outstanding. We were hosted by the owner and operator himself. This place hits the nerve of the California coast which could and should have much more of the independent, owner operated, high quality placed. There must be tons of potential! This guy just did it! Warm recommendation from here!

$$$$$$$ - Total breakfast for 3 was almost $75. San Francisco pricing in a sleepy little town. Paid $9 for a dessert sized portion of chia seed pudding. Not family friendly--- Its acai bowls and baked goods, no "basics". The bagel on my Scenic drive tasted like it was frozen mass produced, nothing local about it.

Hi Steven! Thank you for taking the time to write us a review, and for stopping by in the first place. We are a small, family owned and operated bussiness and we truly appreciate your support. It’s such a shame you had that impression of our cafe and offerings! I can assure you that almost our entire menu is sourced using local and organic ingredients from our favorite local farms in Humboldt County. Our bagels are certainly local and I can assure you they are not mass produced. Quite the opposite. Up until this month, our bagels were coming exclusively from Los Bagels in Arcata. They are another local bussiness that we were happy to work with and support. With that being said, Los Bagels do tend to be more dense and we have just switched to another local bagel vendor for that reason. They are baked fresh and delivered to us from the next town over. In regards to pricing, our prices reflect the produce and ingredients we use. All of our baking is done in house, using local & organic butter, organic flour & organic sugar. All of our coffee is of exceptional quality, fair trade and organic. The milk we use is organic A2/A2 whole milk from a local dairy just 30 minutes away. We truly do our best to source the best quality ingredients for our cafe, and that reflects in our pricing. I’m regards to our menu, we have a full breakfast and lunch menu. Acai bowls make up just a small portion of that menu, and baked goods are just a happy addition. Our “Basic Brekkie” plate is a great, affordable option featuring organic poached eggs and local rustic sourdough toast. We also have a full kids menu, featuring bagels, foccacia grilled cheese, peanut butter, honey & banana hot pressed sandwiches, and kids smoothies (just to name a few). We would love for you to come back in anytime! We would love to show you everything we have to offer you & your family. Have a great day and we hope to see you soon.

This far exceeded our expectations! Some choices for local fish, fresh veggies, nice wines by the glass, excellent service.

A lovely local cafe I NEVER miss when I’m in the area. Great staff of young “woke” women, great coffee drinks (no take-out cups though) - my fave is the Mexican Mocha - unique daily specials & menu, & a beautiful case delicious fresh-baked crumpets. A complete winner!

If you can get a window table, there is a nice view. Food was just OK. Nothing special. Expensive for what we got and the wait for service was ridiculous. Not returning there.

Although their menu is small, they produce really high-quality dishes and great coffee. The "Mexican Moca" is spicy and delicious. Their "multicultural" bagel with cream cheese, local lox, and capers is incredible. The indoor seating is kind of limited, but it's a cozy, artsy atmosphere. Outdoor seating along the sidewalk. Keep in mind they do not use or supply to-go cups. You have to order it in a ceramic mug to drink on site, or you have to bring your own to-go thermos, mug, etc. That's my only complaint: although it's environmentally conscious, their coffee wasn't convenient for an out-of-towner on the go like me.

I like that they use organic eggs and many other organic ingredients. I don't like that the menu was limited. Coffee and teas were excellent. I was not impressed with the dry bran muffin recommended to me. I also was not impressed by the very hard multigrain english muffin beneath my eggs. It was difficult to chew! But I like the large outdoor seating and that it's dog friendly and they try and use organic ingredients.
