This is one of my husbands favorite casual dining spots from when he visited Japan. Finding out they had expanded and opened a few in Cali couldn't have made him happier. He was very excited to take me here when took a vacation to Redondo beach. I didn't really know what to expect so I kept an open mind. I... More

The only curry we really enjoy. They have enough variety to satisfy most. Even our 6 year old loves it.

The restaurant was across the road from my Hotel - so it was convenient. The menu was rather extensive in a far East influence with Korean, Japanese and Chinese influences. The food was well priced, it did take a little longer to come out than expected but was good value and good quality.

We were sure that we'd found a treasure as the restaurant is always packed with locals but something was very wrong the night we visited. The curry was thick and pasty tasting and not served at a warm enough temperature.

I visited this with a friend who happens to love food as well. Adventurous in taste as we are we tried their thin slice beef and their monstrous iced tea drink. I also love the salad dressing they used in fact we bought a bottle for our own home. Overall our tasteful and discriminating palate brought us here and we... More

I love the portions, I like the peppery curry. I usually have sliced pork curry #4 with spinach and mushrooms. I had the deep fried chicken with spinach and mushrooms #4. It was good. I travel to Thailand once or twice a year and in Bangkok there is a Coco Ichibanya, same portions lover price. same flavor.

Pretty close to how Coco Ichi in Japan tastes. If you're a fire eater you can up the spicy to level 10... level 2 is about all my delicate bowels can handle now at my age!

Wasn't a long wait at all, service was very friendly. My husband knew of this chain because of his time in Okinawa, he was jumping up and down to go here. Food was very straightforward, hot scales up to 10. Being a proud person, I got a chicken cutlet, level 5. Good lord. Way too hot, 3 was much better,... More
