When my friends from out of town visit, my first choice to impress is always McPhee's. The food and the service is always excellent. Templeton is a small country town and so different from Los Angeles.
If we could give McPhee's Grill six stars we would! The food and wine were exceptional and the service was outstanding! We were seated in what I would call the back dining room which was large, had a high ceiling and great decor. The tables...More

McPhee's Grill is a great choice for dining in the Paso Robles/Templeton area. It's meat heavy but they also have a lot of non-meat alternatives. The dining areas are very comfortable and the service is attentive. We were a large group of 8 and they...More

I've lived in Templeton since I was 11 years old... Back when it was a po-dunk farm town. It's definitely lost that vibe and become more of a yupee feel, which I hate, but unfortunately it's the way things go when you live in an area where everyone wants to vacation. Not sure I would call Templeton uptight and conservative and not sure what that has to do with having a nice meal bit McPhees is a nice upscale place and consistently excellent. Maybe a little noisy at times but a great place.
