My wife and I kept riding by this restaurant and it always looked busy. We thought it was a bar/grill but pleasantly surprised with a good menu and wine list. We split the ny strip and each had a speciality salad . Really good food.

I know, it's at a golf course, but the food is anything but "casual golf course fair". Eight of us stopped by for lunch and everyone of us were happily surprised. The French dip sandwich was made with flavorful beef, the western burger was moist and tasty and the pastrami sandwich was the best! Each came with French fries which... More

Favorite place in north Lake Tahoe. My wife and I enjoy sitting out on the deck for dinner and drinks - great wine list. Love the ahi tuna and calamari starters and the seafood scampi entree. Service is consistently solid.

We visited this evening and both my husband I really enjoyed our meals! The waiters were very helpful with suggesting items from the menu and service was very efficient. I had the schnitzel which was honestly delicious!! My husband had the strip steak which he really enjoyed- his only complaint was that the steak was cooked more medium than medium... More

We were looking for a place to have breakfast that was not at our hotel. The first place we tried had over an hour's wait. We googled breakfast restaurants near us and got Spindleshanks. We were a little unsure what it would be like eating at the golf course but we are certainly glad we did. I had the chicken... More

We went for happy hour which apparently is 7 days a week from 4-6. I ordered the lemon drop martini, $6 and my husband ordered some vodka thing..$12 for two. They have maybe 6 appetizers that change daily for half price. He ordered the butter lettuce and bay shrimp. He said the buttermilk dressing was great, but I tasted the... More

We had dinner there. Food was very good, except for the potato pancake was overfilled with oil or butter waaay too much, to the point of unpleasantness. Fish was perfect, and duck was also very good. Service by the younger generation was good and professional, however the older tall guy who was "greeting" us at the door and sitting us... More

A good wine selection; creative specials, and a nice setting with outdoor decks, more intimate indoor seating, and friendly, appreciative staff

This is a nice place in Tahoe Vista with a good view of the golf course and the lake. the food is what you'd expect at a lunch place but very well prepared. I had the French dip which was on this wonderful bread, tender beef with very crispy french fries. my sister had the fish tacos which she said... More

For Tahoe Vista, Spindleshanks is acceptable. The place had a dirty, worn, run-down appearance. The patio was nice sized, but just as dirty and worn. The nice weather and the chance to eat outdoors not overlooking a highway, a rarity in North Lake, made it worthwhile. The waiter was a surfer-dude type who might have been high. He was extremely...
