I don't mind paying more if I get good service however EVERYTIME I give this restaurant another chance I am disappointed. The reason I think of them first is because they have a great view of the lake but it's not worth it. Also if you don't have 2 hrs for lunch, forget this place. If your in no hurry,... More

One of many restaurants the locals gravitate to. Nice venue with great views of the lake. The waitstaff is on top of their game demonstrating high degrees of customer engagement, knowledge and efficiency. Food quality and value is good, but not a major differentiator from many of the other Tahoe restaurants. Worth a shot if you’re in the area, hungry,... More

My first dinner at Jake's was in the mid 1970's, the night after their original opening. Albeit, I was only a teen, it was a wonderful experience. As I grew older, I continued to visit and introduced my girlfriend who then became my wife the pleasure at Jake's. We have watched the management transition back and forth over the years... More

A large timbered room with a real fire (rare in Tahoe). Plenty of space and good seating options. Service is efficient and friendly. Prices are on the high side for dinner compared to the lunch menu but the quality of food served is very good.

We wanted the great view, and needed the warm fireplace, but ain't never gonna love the mediocre food. We weren't sad; two out of three ain't bad...

My friends and I stopped for cocktails after walking the trail that runs alone Lake Tahoe. Very nice place, great atmosphere. Unfortunately we didn't eat, so I can't comment on the food, but great views, nice people.

Like I said in the tittle section. Great location with tons of parking and not too busy during the holidays. Love the gin martinis, red wine selection and a farm to table selection! Even affordable... in Tahoe. Amazing

I was there with a large group. They set up a buffet for us. The food was really good and plenty of variety so everyone found something they liked. The atmosphere is really nice with lots of wood beams and posts. It makes you feel like you are in the mountains.

We stopped here for lunch on a day trip around Lake Tahoe. I had a great salad with beets and goat cheese. They had a decent beer selection. It was not busy when we were there so we had no trouble getting a table by a window and we really enjoyed the view. Prices were a tad high, but it... More
