A large timbered room with a real fire (rare in Tahoe). Plenty of space and good seating options. Service is efficient and friendly. Prices are on the high side for dinner compared to the lunch menu but the quality of food served is very good.

We wanted the great view, and needed the warm fireplace, but ain't never gonna love the mediocre food. We weren't sad; two out of three ain't bad...

My friends and I stopped for cocktails after walking the trail that runs alone Lake Tahoe. Very nice place, great atmosphere. Unfortunately we didn't eat, so I can't comment on the food, but great views, nice people.

Like I said in the tittle section. Great location with tons of parking and not too busy during the holidays. Love the gin martinis, red wine selection and a farm to table selection! Even affordable... in Tahoe. Amazing

I was there with a large group. They set up a buffet for us. The food was really good and plenty of variety so everyone found something they liked. The atmosphere is really nice with lots of wood beams and posts. It makes you feel like you are in the mountains.

We stopped here for lunch on a day trip around Lake Tahoe. I had a great salad with beets and goat cheese. They had a decent beer selection. It was not busy when we were there so we had no trouble getting a table by a window and we really enjoyed the view. Prices were a tad high, but it... More

We stopped here to have lunch while Christmas shopping in Tahoe City!!! The fish tacos were really great!! My friend had crab cakes that she drooled over!! Our server could not have been friendlier- great sense of humor which both if us enjoyed!!! Try Jakes for a fabulous view of Lake Tahoe along with good food and friendly service!!!

The interior reminds me a bit of several Chart House restaurants, lots of wood and the always present view. Good service and excellent menu choices. We visited for lunch and sampled a butternut squash soup, a panko crusted artichoke appetizer, a filet mignon plate, and filet mignon tacos with lobster. All were great, but I'd order the filet tacos without... More

Food nice. Manager/Owner got mad because hostess seated me at a nicer table with a view...and I was alone. He was very mad at hostess for 'pampering' a solo diner.

We had dinner at Jakes and loved it. We had sea bass and our friends had meat (can' t remember what). All were excellent. Great service and the view over the lake was amazing. Try to go at sunset.
