Very disappointed! I found this place with great reviews on TripAdvisor. Supposedly #1 in Tahoe City. I had the smoked salmon eggs Benedict and the house coffee cake. I would not write this review if it was just for the taste. But I had a stomach ache as soon as I finished eating the eggs even before trying the coffee... More

I'm so sorry that you hated everything to the point you were mad enough to call our extremely clean, newly remodeled, very popular restaurant "a dump". We served 7 salmon Benedicts the day you came in and had not one complaint, even from you. I wish you had told someone you were dissatisfied so we could have fixed the problem... More

We were traveling through from Squaw Valley to the Reno airport and stopped for breakfast. We'd goggled best restaurants in Taho City and it was ranked #1. We were not disappointed! The service was terrific....friendly, fast, and accommodating to menu changes. The food was beyond delicious.....tasty, fresh, and delivered to the table hot and as ordered. I had the West... More

This review put a huge smile on my face. It is feedback such as this that has kept myself and my family in the restaurant business for nearly 40 years. I am so glad that you enjoyed everything so much. I can't wait to show the staff your feedback. Thank you for taking the time to leave this review. Bob... More

My family & I went to for lunch at the Fire Sign Cafe on Christmas Eve. We ordered french toast, BLT's and biscuits & gravy. The meal was very good, I tasted everyone's meal and the food was very fresh. The fresh salsa and chips that came with the sandwiches was good too.

Tucked away near the lake is this exceptional cafe with a very accommodating waitstaff and exceptional food. We came for breakfast and had a great experience to start out our day. Most food on the menu is made fresh. Has a nice rustic interior.

This place is located right across the street from Lake Tahoe. Although there are no views of the lake it is a very pleasant place to sit and eat. The food is excellent. There is limited seating and it can get very busy so often there is a waiting line. Portions are large and prices are on the high side.

Yes, the one with that menu... the menu so many breakfast restaurants have adapted across the western US. Good, dependable, hearty plates with the usual choices. There are times when I like something unique and different. When I go here, that's not what I'm craving. I'm craving huevos, frittata, crepe, omelette, scramble, or pancakes, and with a side of potatoes... More

This is a tough review for me as the owner of Fire Sign because I have spent 39 years changing, adapting, and improving our menu. I'd like to think the reason so many people love our menu and our food is because we make nearly all of it from scratch; from every salad dressing we serve to all our soups,... More

Just stopped by for lunch driving around Lake Tahoe and were so glad we did! Breakfast and lunch menus available with something for everyone. Great food, generous portions, lots for vegetarians as well. Fantastic local hangout, we loved it.

This reviewer first visited The Fire Sign in the Summer of 1975 and has never had a bad meal or experience since then. It is that cool time of the year and the glowing fireplace (pictured) is welcomed by us travelers. The Fire Sign has small comfortable eating areas so you do not feel as if you are in a... More

Since 1978, Fire Sign Cafe has been a family owned and operated Breakfast and Lunch restaurant. We pride ourselves on our extensive menu, full of homemade food. Our restaurant has been a local favorite since it opened. It has been featured in several publications such as Sunset Magazine, as well as shown on Rachael Ray's, "Tasty Travels". Our great service and even better food are what keep people coming back!
