Had a burger with on oversized bun (too fat) and so had way too much bread. Minestrone soup was very good.

We ate outside at the few tables they had. The outdoor seating was delightful! However, the service was quite slow. The waitress though was very nice and got the food out to us as quickly as she could. The food was VERY good. We got the lettuce wrap appetizer (which was quite big) and the pesto sandwich. It was pricey... More

Those that read my reviews know I value good service, food and value for the money. On our visit to Fat Cat Bar & Grill we got the service, kind of. We started with an order of pot stickers for our party of 9, which ended up being two orders of five for $11.00 each. Aside from the staff not... More

We joined a couple of couples for happy hour last week. You The appetizers were yummy and the drinks were great. This restaurant has been a favorite for many years. It's under new ownership now and the menu has remained the same. But some of the service issues from the past have been fixed. So try this reasonably priced restaurant!

Two vegetarian diners and one non-vegetarian ate here, and when the time came to reflect upon the mea the group all expressed high praise for the diversity of the menu, the ingredients used, and the service and knowledge which accompanied the dining experience. We warmly agreed that this was one of the best dining experiences we had in North Lake... More

Came with my son, passing through Tahoe. Saw reviews and decided to try. The place is small but wasn't busy when we came (1pm). Service was fast. Portions nice size. Had tofu lettuce wraps, which were great. I had the Ahi salad, which was also really good and large. Didn't really need the appetizer but so what. Son had chicken... More

We were looking for a low key place to eat. We originally wanted Thai food and headed for Thai Kitchen. It was closed so we went to Fat Cat. Eclectic local place with a diverse menu. I opted for the happy hour chicken wings. I had to send them back. They were old and crusty. The hostess was nice and... More

I had the fat cat burger. I wasn't sure so I went with the "signature" dish. I'll get to that in a minute. The bartender/waiter dude is a hard worker. He's the only one up frint, serving 18, hustling and doing a great job. Now, to the burger. He asked how I wanted it cooked, "medium rare", camwwell done. Not... More

I went with my family and a couple of friends over New Years week, always a busy week for the area but we still managed to get a table in about 15 minutes and our food came quickly and correctly. This place is small ( seating for 40-50 max I think ), and quite nicely decorated. We had very good... More

There were 4 in our group. We were served by a very friendly & efficient young lady. I had a cheeseburger, which was delicious, my daughter had the mac & cheese with mushroom, which she said was one of the best she's ever had. Fat Cat was a very good choice for lunch in Tahoe.
