Nothing special about this place...we had the pad kaprow gai and it was super bland, with one leaf of basil, no spice, no real flavor. Instead, it had a ton of random other stuff (carrots, bamboo shoots,...) that you'd never find in it in Thailand. The lab was a bit tastier. Service was good, atmosphere ok, they have Chnang signs... We went here while on a business trip. The restaurant is a small cozy place. Nice atmosphere despite it's location in a strip mall. Everything we had was delicious. We started with an egg roll type appetizer and then a wonderful Papaya salad. For our main course we had Yellow Curry with Chicken, Squid in Basil Sauce and Pad Thai.... More

Very average Thai food. Its a bit on the bland side. I hat Tom Kha Gai, Larb Gai, and Yum Nuer. They weren't bad per se and if I just happened to be right in front of the restaurant, in a rush, and hungry, I might go back in again. But there are so many better options in the area,... More

Old Siam is in a strip mall in Sunnvale and easy to miss without knowing the address. Hard to beat for good quality, reasonably priced standard Thai dishes.

This is my absolute favorite place to get Thai food in the area. The menu encompasses a broad range of possibilities for both meat eaters and vegetarians, for couples and for families with kids, for folks who like their food flavorful but gentle to those who want eye-watering heat. I can bring my parents here and have them find mild... More

Old Siam is a cosy place for having a Thai meal. There is adequate parking around the restaurant. Although a wide variety of green & red curries and other dishes are available my personal favorite remains the Pad Thai noodles.

It is in a strip mall, it is small, and the food was wonderful. Lovely service. And low prices. If I lived nearby, I would not send in this review because I wouldn't ever want to be turned away, but since are visitors from a long way off, I want the place to be there should we return.

This small place is great for lunch, however not that good for dinner. We are creatures of habit so we usually always order the same thing. Pad see ew, pad kee maw, or pad Phik green beans. The dishes all have pretty delicious flavors. Good amount of spicy if you request it. They can be inconsistent with ingredients at times,... More

My dad and I were in Sunnyvale to give a lecture at the public library, and needed something to eat after the event. The librarians kindly recommended The Old Siam as their favorite place to eat nearby, and gave us directions. The food was inexpensive, but INCREDIBLE. It was by far the best Thai food I've had, though here in... More

Home cooked Thai food with the right amount of spice and seasoning. Fairly priced and food is proportioned correctly. Would go back if in the area.....
