My girlfriend took me to Stinson Beach to celebrate my birthday, which included dinner at Parkside Cafe. I had an avocado pasta, some french fries and a delicious mead mimosa. My partner on the other hand had oyster gratin which she sent back as it...tasted like salt water and had what appeared to be shell in it. She then told our server she would prefer to get a burger medium-rare. When the burger came, it was raw on the inside. Not rare, raw. The outside had been cooked enough to be brown, but the inside was falling apart and uncooked. When our waiter returned she simply asked for a box so we could feed it to our dog, after cooking it more at home. At no point did the server inquire about why she had not taken a bite, nor did they remove the oyster gratin from our bill. Being the gracious woman she is, my partner did not want to complain, especially since she was treating me to a birthday dinner. This experience was beyond disappointing. I have worked in restaurants for years and I do not recommend eating at this sub par tourist trap.More

The Parkside is actually three places rolled into one. The first place is the restaurant, which is really good, although honestly a little high end for us on most of our stays in Stinson. We do always get a pizza to go from them on...our first night in town, and they are always excellent. The second part is the Parkside Snack Bar. It is just a walk-up place with burgers, fries, shakes, smoothies and other snacks. We always hit the snack bar a couple of times each trip. The food is fast and excellent, especially the firecracker fries and the shakes. Also the soft serve cones are a must. The third part is the coffee cart. They are open early, knock out good espresso drinks fast, and have a-mazing fresh baked pastries. Also, locally made Straus ice cream, if you're of the mind to get a really, really good affogato.More

We ate breakfast and lunch here. The Cobb salad we had for lunch came with roast chicken on the side and was delicious. The next morning we ate breakfast there, ordering an omelette and a buttermilk pancake. The pancake, at $8, was underwhelming. The fresh...vegetables with the omelette were excellent. An omelette, two cups of coffee, a pancake and water set us back $60, including tip. The server was great.More

We stayed in Stinson beach for three nights and thank goodness for this place and the corner market, as they were the only places open! The restaurant food was great, a little expensive, but I guess that’s to be expected. The snack bar food was...good but the people taking the orders and handing out the food were not friendly. The coffee stands food was good but the guy working there barley knew what he was doing. I would go to all areas again, especially considering it was our only option! Stinson beach Area is beautiful! ThanksMore

Best burger and hand cut fries we’ve had in a long time. Quaint place, good service, terrific food. We were there midweek and it was still busy. It’s worth the wait.

Enjoyed able to sit inside or on the patio. On a nice day sitting outside is so nice. Sitting inside on a cool day with the fireplace is cozy. Everyone was so nice. Will return.

Wayyyyy over priced. Went for lunch, continuous line for bathroom (which was right in the dining area) made dining unpleasant. Portions were child sized and bland or greasy. Found hair on plate. Will not return and advise anyone to steer clear of this establishment.

The food is really good, but with only half the tables filled on a Saturday morning, we thought we would have faster service. Gourmet breakfast using unique combinations and ingredients which is very refreshing. I had the Hash and I loved their take on this...breakfast stable, my friend had the Eggs, Rice, Black Beans which was a great change from regular omelettes or scrambled eggs. Their house coffee is excellent and pipping hot. Everything was fresh and hot.More

Four of us get together each year for 3 days near near one of our homes. This year was at Stinson Beach. Park side was our first night’s evening meal. We all enjoyed our selection from a good menu with several local seafood choices. Meals...were well prepared, tasty, and the service was great. We will return!More

Sorry, Pat, I have no suggestions. I booked our dinner at the restaurant. Did you specify the date and details in your phone message? That should get a response. Gary
