Just a short walk from our hotel, this was a hidden gem. Food was very tasty and nicely presented. The service is counter service, but the food came quickly. The portions were large and good value for the money.

Looked forward to meal. I guess I’m spoiled because the food was just ok. Here is my suggestions; warm the pita bread (it really makes a difference.) Make the Tubulei fresh. The yogurt needs to be “Labnyne” I think you spell it; thicker and creamy....The rice with lentils was dry, unexciting and tasted old. I don’t understand how rice with lentils is dry???. The staff need to “know the food” they are serving. Maybe better customer relations providing WiFi. I won’t be back. Sorry. homeMore

Been going there for over 15 years and have never been disappointed. Order when you enter and they bring the food to the table. Made a special trip to eat there, just the same great food and service.

Not that great ..The chicken tasted like day old Costco and Luckys Rotisserie chicken. The pita bread was cold and hard would of been nice if they would have heated it for about 15 seconds. The texture of the rice was fine but no flavor...whatsoever. The best part of the meal was the hummus and the 2 green olives. I will not be going back. I'm still on the hunt for some descent middle eastern food....More

Was looking for another mediterranean option near SSF snd have never been at the Ali Baba. As I am eating mostly vegetarian/vegan the mediterranean kitchen usually provides a number of choices. The Ali Baba has less options on the menu than the Amoura (also in...SSF) but is also much less expensive. Food was very good especially for the price. Not enough for 5 stars but 4 stars are OK for the value. I would have given 3.5 if it was possible. Service was friendly and quick. You have the option to order via a pad at every table. I liked the option and navigation was easy. I ordered (A) a Murjana's Plate, an appetizer plate with a good value. Choice of 3 appetizers for $8,35. I chose Hummus, Tabbouleh and Falafel. (see picture) and a serving of pita bread. Very tasty Falafel and Hummus. Tabboulh good but I have eaten better versions; (B) an Ali Baba salad, consisting of cucumber, tomatoes, green bell peppers and crunchy pita pieces with some spices. The salad could have been more spicy or otherwise a bit more interesting. Still, I finished it; (C) the soup of the day. This was the only real disappointment, yet, it might have just not been my taste. Lentil soup with onions and carrots. OK, but quite bland. I ate half but could not eat more anyway as I was getting really full. Really healthy soup but would not order again. Overall I am happy with the visit, the healthy choices and the good price will make me come back.More

Needed to grab a quick lunch item to go while in South San Francisco, so stopped at Ali Baba. Counter service was fast and friendly, and I received my wrap within a few minutes. It was well-wrapped in foil, which kept it from being a...big mess while I ate it at my desk.More

A 15 minute walk from the South San Francisco Convention Center. I didn't want to get the sandwich lunch that was offered at the conference and found this place on Yelp. I had their Falafel wrap combo which came with small side and drink. I...like Mediterranean food and this was pretty good for the price. This was a nice cheap place.More

I just flew into town and was looking for something to take back to my hotel for dinner. I found this place via Yelp and I am glad that I did. The chicken was excellent and so were the side salads. I also like the...garlic sauce.More

Okay food ,,, but no other choice in the area! Sides are good but they give very less quantity, even if you purchase one as a add on.
