We come here often, and it has always been consistently good. I have always been happy with any of the large salads that they have to offer, with the CHopped Salad being my favorite. I also really like the outdoor seating area, and their cocktails are pretty tasty as well! We've never had a bad meal here.

So my wife and I go here for special occasions like our anniversary. This week she went for lunch with a neighbor friend and was very disappointed. They both had a Tuscan salad. Nothing special for $16. A small amount of dressing was poured in the center. The server never brought them bread even after having been asked. He never... More

We used to live in Santa Cruz & this was always our favorite place. We were there recently on a Saturday evening & since it was a last minute visit, we didn't have reservations. We were able to eat comfortably at the bar which I was initially hesitant to do. The Wild Sea Bass I ordered was a bit undercooked... More

This is a very special place. The menu selections, food quality, service, setting, wine list, price point, are all spot on. We have been several times, and whether we are dining in the garden or various indoor areas, or at the bar, we always have the the best experience. It is Consistently Good and fairly priced for that!!!! Great service~... More

Atmosphere and waiting staff are awesome. Very attentive to what is needed and quick on the refills. Order the fish, you will not be disappointed. Cannot wait to return for another great meal.

Opened in Feb. 1995, this fabulous restaurant blends traditional regional American and world foods with new and innovative techniques creating what they call their "New American Cuisine". A friend made the reservations to meet us here as we hadn't been to this restaurant before. They incorporate many locally made products into their menu (Laura Chenel's goat cheese, Pt Reyes blue... I travel to Santa Cruz for business several times a year and Cafe Cruz is my choice for both entertaining clients and my own dinning enjoyment. Excellent lunch and dinner selections perfectly prepared with personal service that makes you feel like a friend of the owner. Very nice outdoor seating area is perfect when the weather is nice.

We ate and drank in the bar area. Nice ambiance. We enjoyed ourselves, but no real happy hour. Wines are not great and drinks are a little over priced. No real deals on food items any night of the week so it seemed a little expensive even though everything tasted good.

My wife and I really enjoyed our time at Cafe Cruz. Excelent dinner well put together varied menu and beautiful decor...it's all here. Parking is a bit of an issue but as we were there on a Sunday night we didn't have a problem. Our waiter was very attentive, had excellent timing and was an all round very nice young... More

We've been to Cafe Cruz many times and it's always been good. This time the staff seemed stressed out, my dinner (portabella mushroom piccata) was mediocre and cocktail undrinkable. It wasn't just me, three of us tasted a simple Sapphire martini and agreed there was something wrong but after sending it back, our waiter suggested I order something different because... More
