Beautiful antique soda fountain inside of a charming book/antique store. Good ice cream, fresh pie. Sometime musicians are strumming in nearby lounge area. There's even a small cave or mine from the gold rush era you can see in the basement.

Nice light food, deserts and coffee. There is a great basement bookstore that is worth a look. This is a good place to take out of town guests. Lots of antiques an pd books and photographs by local artists.

Great place to stop. The address listed in Trip Advisor is off by about 3 blocks; but it's worth finding this place just for a malt and cone

We almost didn't have a chance to visit this last trip because of rains and timing. But kids insisted on visit before driving home. LOVE the sarsaparilla on tap. Half our family got ice cream and glass, other half hot sarsaparilla float. Be sure to go downstairs and check out the exposed old tunnels that used to connect all the... More

Walking through Sonora, you might overlook the entrance of this marvelous "book café". Oh man you would be missing something: an antique bar, soda fountain and best: a hidden book cellar with used books. It even has a water fall and mining relicts! So don't miss out on legends, if your looking for a yummy snack, friendly staff and fair... More

I took my son so he could have a treat at an old fashioned soda fountain. We hadn't had dinner, so ordered some sandwiches. They weren't gourmet, but they were freshly made and tasty. The sarsparilla float made my son's day! The ladies were super friendly and invited us to stay as long as we wanted, even past when they... More

This is a very friendly place to relax, browse and experience an old fashioned soda fountain. We shared a chocolate soda with vanilla ice cream. It was served with extra soda and chocolate syrup so it never went "dry". The carved bar had an interesting history having been saved from the great Chicago fire and spending some time in San... Legends is a must-stop place in Sonora. Like all shops in Sonora, the restaurant façade "fools" you because it seems small - but all the stores in old-town Sonora are narrow and long as a result of the historic buildings' structure. Legends is the perfect place to grab a bite. They make home made sandwich & soups, offer absolutely delicious... More

It's right on the Main Street and you can get fantastic shakes and sundaes - what more does a girl need? There's also a selection of antiques/bric-a-brac in the back room and if books are your thing head downstairs where you'll find some lovely nooks and crannies to explore, as well as a grotto with running water - I'm assuming... We were attracted by the nice looking soda fountain with the milk shake machines. So, after we ordered a milk shake we were surprised that the shake was made with a Vitamix type blender. It was a bit disappointing but still tasted good. I had the tuna fish sandwich which was fine but my wife had the turkey sandwich which... More
