Went for lunch and found the service to be very good. An interesting choice for my lunch was Mussels and Fries. Sounds weird but it was excellent. You receive a large mound of fries sitting in the mussel broth that includes caramelized onions with a very large number of mussel, in their shell, on top. A little bit of work... More

The pub is located in an alley off the east side of the main square. It can be easily missed but well worth the effort to find. Both the service and pub food are excellent. The mussels and fish and chips may be the best I have ever experienced. The sandwiches and burgers were large and tasty. The service is... More

After dinner went to have a drink and here some live music. The local band was so good and the crowd was pretty much locals as well. It was fun a few people danced and when the band took a break a belly dancer with a sword came on the stage. She was amazing. They have a good choice of... More

One night a group of us went out to dinner at a very expensive restaurant with a $125 per person 7 course meal. This was one of those places where a teaspoon of food = 1 course. Teaspoon of food on a huge white plate...very hip. I HATE, these places and dinners. Still hungry we went out and saw Murphy's... More

A local favorite, great seating outside, good food, great beer and stories. Classic pics and team stuff on walls (think soccer, rugby) and stools at the bar. Some seating inside but out on patio more fun overall. I always get the Fish and chips but get the onion rings cause damn, they are good. Another decent pub menu place at... More

We were looking for a sports bar to watch the semfinals of the women's NCAA basketball tournament and were directed to Murphy's Irish Pub. What a great find! It's very small but the staff were super friendly and helpful. They made sure we got to watch our game on one of their 2 big screen televisions and dropped by frequently... More

Called here for a late light lunch we kust ordered 2 starters and they were so large but so tasty. They have got to be the best onion rings ever.

Murphys was recommended to us by some locals and we are really happy we stopped in. It's kind of tucked away, but it's a must stop. We expected your typical Irish pub food, but the few things we ordered were outstanding. Way better than we could've ever expected (try the Frickles, they are so good). The drinks were great as... We got there during happy hour and boy were we glad! The beer selection is great and the happy hour menu is enough for a meal! I had the fish and chips and my husband got the happy hour burger that came with fries and a pint beer for $10. What a bargin. We will be back!

I'm a local and love Murphy's. The location, ambience, drinks, musical acts, trivia night - all make for a really fun time. Unfortunately the food is sub par pub food. You'd think in a place like Sonoma, known for its restaurants and food, that it would at least be good pub food. On occasion in the past they've had brief... More
