We were desperate for some at least decent coffee and were recommended the Sunflower Caffe by a lady at the town tourism office. It didn't disappoint. Great coffee, cool atmosphere and obviously a favourite local hangout. Having booked lunch elsewhere in the next couple of hours we didn't eat but the smell and look of the food coming from the... Best option for breakfast on the square. Back patio is perfect for casual easy lunch with lots of shade. Table service is limited.

We're lucky here in Sonoma, to have so many choices for places to eat, from casual to fine dining. Sunflower Caffe is one of my 'Go To" lunch choices, because the food is clean, fresh and good. I've never had a bad meal here, that says something. It can be quite busy, but even when I've waited in a 15... More

Lovely little cafe for quick but very well prepared food on the Plaza. Not cheap but relative to it's surroundings. Serves great coffees and a nice glass of wine, though limited selection. Service is ver quick and the place gets very busy. Seating and decor not the most comfortable but great for a quick lunch. So much choice on the... More

My husband and I stopped in for lunch after a recommendation from the Fairmont Inn. The place was busy but they were very efficient and delivered our food quickly. I ordered the Chicken Salad Salad and my husband ordered the Cobb Salad. Both delicious! They don't don't have Diet Coke was the only draw back but overall delicious fresh food!

This place has the ambience, the vibrant business, even a funky local-organic-new agey menu; but lacks the taste. They were able to accommodate my gluten-free health restrictions, but the dish lacked the basic blend of flavors. They are super busy during brunch. They have generous outdoor seating areas, but if it is cold these will not help you. Do plan... More

I have a hard time getting too excited about breakfast places. It seems there is good or bad, but rarely spectacular. Sunflower is spectacular. Everything our family had on three visits was great -- from the oatmeal, to omelets to fried eggs. They have a way of maki g things taste fresh as well as unusual. Even the smoothies were... More

A counter service restaurant on the Sonoma Square, offering breakfasts, soup, salads and sandwiches made from fresh ingredients, the Sunflower Cafe is a great place for a casual meal. It offers pleasant, inside and outside dining, and enough variety to accommodate many special diets.

Stopped in for a light snack to hold us over till a scheduled lunch at a winery. Ordered the bean chili and loved it! Very hearty. Lots of great choices but we wanted a signature dish. Fresh ingredients were prepared in front of us and our order came quickly in spite of a line of patrons out the door. Enjoyed... More

Seating was tight and long line to order. These are not bad things to me, especially when the food is worth the wait. Beautiful garden out back. I am full, yet not hurting full. Just the right amount. It is a bit pricy, yet not to bad as it is gourmet, high quality, fresh, organic food. Highly recommend.
