Enjoyed a nice relaxing dinner experience while visiting the area! Service was exceptional. Nice wine choices of course! We enjoyed the filet, short ribs were very tender, spinach dip very delicious, and the best perfectly done dessert, molten cake.

We sat at the bar and the bartender/server was very busy. We ordered the fresh mussels with cream sauce, fennel, parsley and garlic. What we got was mussels in a chili sauce with peppers, jalapeños and fennel. I questioned this with my daughter. She didn’t...remember. As we ate it I asked for the menu when the bartender was available. When I asked him about it he said, ‘well there’s fennel in it’. He offered to give us another bowl but we were done. He said the kitchen made a mistake as they just changed the menu, and that this was from yesterday. I ask you, who wants to pay full price for something that you didn’t order and that was mussels from the day before? But they wanted us to. I finally saw the manager who did comp the mussels, without an apology and with a myriad of excuses. We are locals and have gone to this restaurant for special occasions, as was the case tonight. Now we are hoping we don’t get sick from what they served us. We will never go back and hope you heed our advice and stay away from high priced leftovers and a completely incompetent manager.More

Loved everything about El Dorado Kitchen. Our favorite meal during our long weekend in Sonoma. Sat outside on their lovely terrace. Had scallops, fettuccine & veggie risotto, all excellent. Best-ever fruit crisp for dessert--so fresh; not the overly sweet variety. Both focaccia I & cornbread...were topnotch. A great cabernet. Also loved our waiter. Better than our meal at Wit & Wisdom, another favorite place.More

Started with 3 appetizers to split— shaved brussel sprouts, truffle fries & focaccia ( skip bread!). They were delicious & plenty for 3. Lobster sandwich had tons of lobster—ended up open face cuz large sandwich. Two split shrimp tacos

Upon visiting Eldorado Kitchen, it becomes apparent that this restaurant falls short of its potential. While the ambiance and service are commendable, the food itself leaves much to be desired. Starting with the positives, Eldorado Kitchen boasts a cozy and inviting atmosphere, perfect for a...casual dining experience. The staff is friendly and attentive, making an effort to ensure guests feel welcomed and comfortable. However, it is important to note that these factors alone do not salvage the overall mediocre dining experience. The menu at Eldorado Kitchen offers a variety of options, but unfortunately, the execution falls flat. Dishes lack the creativity and flavor one would expect from a restaurant of this caliber. The flavors are bland and uninspiring, leaving the taste buds disappointed. The presentation also lacks the finesse and attention to detail that often elevate a dining experience. In addition, while Eldorado Kitchen attempts to cater to various dietary preferences, their vegetarian and vegan options are limited and underwhelming. This can be disappointing for those seeking flavorful and satisfying plant-based dishes. Furthermore, the prices at Eldorado Kitchen do not align with the quality of the food. Patrons may find themselves overpaying for a subpar dining experience, as the culinary offerings simply do not justify the cost. Ultimately, Eldorado Kitchen fails to live up to its potential as a noteworthy dining establishment. While its ambiance and service show promise, the mediocre quality of the food detracts from the overall experience. For those seeking a memorable culinary adventure, it is recommended to explore other options in the area.More

This was our 2nd visit to El Dorado Kitchen. Last time I was left a bit underwhelmed by the food and drinks but the service was good. This time we had the inverse experience. My partner wanted to revisit EDK on our trip to see...if last time was an off night for the kitchen. This visit we were pleased with everything that we ordered, from the drinks to the main courses. Our drinks this time were excellent. Our starter was the ahi tuna tartare which was pretty standard but good. I had the filet mignon, which at first glance seemed a bit small but I left full. My partner had the seafood paella which was very generous in size. Everything was delish. Our server seemed very young and inexperienced (a bit immature perhaps). He took our order and got it right. Checked on us once, but that was it. No expanding on the offerings. Nothing approaching fine dining. He seemed more interested in socializing with his coworkers. The food was good but the “experience” making level of service was absent. 3.5 stars out of 5More

The ambiance and service were excellent. The single leaf caesar salad with filet was very good however the homemade fettuccine wasn't uniformly cooked, some parts were clumpy and undercooked.

Worst restaurant I have ever experienced from service to food. We were on a wine tour bus and they told us this is a pricey restaurant but good. Extremely disappointed that no one served us until 20 mins later, while others came in after us...and were served. Food was disgusting. I ordered prawn tacos and the prawn was stringy and cold. We ordered truffle fries and they gave us normal fries. I’m glad I’m not a local as i would not come back here ever!!!More
