Four of us had lunch on the patio, which was nice on a sunny day and probably not as noisy as the inside would have been. I had the fish tacos, which were okay but not very tasty. The "spicy crema sauce" was not very spicy, and I would have preferred just plain salsa rather than the bland pico de... More

We went here for my wife's birthday with two friends and sat out in the courtyard under the fig tree, great spot on a warm evening. The birthday was acknowledged and the service, when we got it, was excellent, but it was a little slow and we had to seek the attention of the waitress a number of times. Regardless, the... More

The place was packed and hopping, our waitress was very attractive and lots of help with the menu. Started with the oysters (Kushi from Canada) and Gurrata, most delish!! Our entrees were the chicken and steak, both were good. We will be back if we get back to Sonoma!!

The food here is some of the best I've had in Sonoma. Each dish is full of flavor and we savored each bite. We dined late on a Saturday evening and the service was excellent. We asked for a specific table when making the reservation. Upon arrival they escorted us to a different table and before we could say anything... More

We booked this restaurant based on the good reviews and were very happy with the choice. We chose to sit outside and the atmosphere was great. I had the Carbonara and my husband had the New York steak and we shared the truffle fries. The food was excellent. The portion sizes were very good. I would recommend this place for... More

We ate at the El Dorado in a group of 14 and were seated at a long table in the middle of the restaurant. The place was packed. My husband and I arrived early and squeezed into a spot at the bar. The waiter was super efficient and because the place was so busy he was really quick. We were... More

Food and service was top notch. Salomon was fresh, flavorable, and well prepared. Dessert was perfect and oysters fresh. Only negative was the wines are overpriced. Average wines sold as expensive ones. We had 3 different wines and none were ones we would order again and each were $100 to $120 per bottle. Only worth about $40 per bottle.

My husband and I celebrated our 1st anniversary at this restaurant. The food was delicious - we started with the french fries (amazing). We both then opted for the New York Strip - couldn't go wrong. We both enjoyed the food but the service was less than amazing. We weren't really in a rush so it didn't bother us too... More

Excellent food and service ... would definitely return and recommend. The soup , butternut squash with port, was out of this world, and the heirloom tomato salad with grilled chicken ....YUM! Loved the atmosphere and it made for a perfect lunch on our first day in Sonoma.

Executive chef Armando Navarro's farm driven cuisine is a collection of earthy yet sophisticated, complex yet straightforward dishes that showcase the essence of seasonal produce. Chef Navarro sources his ingredients from local purveyors and nearby Sonoma farms, a commitment and dedication that is in line with El Dorado’s overall eco-friendly green initiatives.Navarro’s deeply satisfying cuisine can be enjoyed at El Dorado Kitchen. In the center of the main dining room, parties of up to 22 can gather around a 21-foot-long table fashioned from a single wood plank reclaimed from a Vermont bridge. This table is perfectly positioned to afford each diner a view of the artistic talents hard at work in the open kitchen. An outdoor courtyard allows diners to enjoy the beauty of Sonoma. Enjoy dinner under the fig trees and the clear Sonoma sky or take your lunch pool-side in your own private cabana or on one of the inviting day beds by the pool. We also offer casual dining in our lobby, nestled next to the glowing fireplace.
