My wife and I went to a nice cozy restaurant. We picked to eat our dinner inside.
We ordered salmon and codfish. The food was damn good delicious mashed potatoes with spinach, plus delicious mussels. We shared our dinner, yummy.
I celebrated...my wife’s 60th birthday with a white candle on a small brownie that the restaurant brought it. We enjoyed eating raspberry sorbet and drank a cup of cappuccino.More
Super outdoor dining experience, with views of the Sonoma square. Great food with attentive service delivered by Mario. He was friendly and efficient, giving us a terrific first night experience that we’ll remember fondly.
The food was good, nothing great, and staff not very friendly. The setting was very nice though. The waiter wouldn’t spilt our bill correctly between two couples, only down the middle. We didn’t speak up when he said no so that’s on us but still...frustrating.More
From start to finish this was a great experience for all of us! The service was fantastic (duff your the bomb!) great suggestions, well prepared to share opinions of food & beverages to share & enjoy!!! We had such wonderful food & drinks & service...we can’t wait to go back!!!More
Came here with a group of six in July and overall I enjoyed it. The waitstaff was attentive and knowledgeable but a few misses from a place that seems high end. My husband ordered an Old Fashioned and they didn't ask or offer any bourbon...choices. We were three couples and wanted to split the check three ways and there was a $2 charge when more than 2 credit cards are used. Two dollars? For a high end restaurant to tack on two bucks for an extra credit card just seemed tacky. Some menu items were excellent - carpaccio with watermelon and the filet mignon was outstanding, excellent truffle fries others were mediocre - pork belly was basically all fat. We tried to return the next night for cocktails after dinner and had a very awkward encounter with the manager and bartender. The manager asked the bartender in front of us if he would serve us a round even though it was late (it was not yet 9:00) and the bartender clearly didn't want to say yes but felt he couldn't say no. We took the hint and left, finding the only (crappy) bar open. I get wanting to go home, but a round of six high end cocktails would have been a nice tip, so a little bit baffling. Anyhow, the food is very good, atmosphere is nice, and so I recommend it.More
We went here for dinner on our last night in Sonoma after a great week of enjoying wine country. This was a pinnacle dining experience for our week. From appetizers of crispy truffle fries, carpaccio and an amazing crevice on guacamole to main dishes of...paella, pork chop and crispy salmon everything was flavorful and delicious. The drinks were well made and everything was paced perfectly.
The highlight was the quality of service. Georgio was Ann outstanding server, with personality, attentiveness and enthusiasm. The wine list was impressive as well. An all around incredible dining experience.More
Last Sunday night I was in Sonoma with some friends and after a long day. We were looking for somewhere to go to for dinner, but it was late and moat restaurants were closing.
El Dorado Kitchen was closing too.
When we first walked in...one of the workers said they were closing and that the kitchen was already closed, but I asked a manager if we could still get something.
At that point we would’ve taken anything because we were hungry and it was late. The manager went over to the head chef and asked if it was OK for us to be seated.
We would’ve expected a limited menu with only a few items available since they were closing and that would’ve been fine. What we experienced was not only a culinary delight, but also some of the best service we’ve had at a restaurant in years. The staff was attentive and made suggestions. The wine selections, starters, and entrees were all exceptional.
At the end of our dinner the chef came over to our table and asked how we enjoyed our meal.
That definitely wasn’t expecting since his staff I’m sure wanted to go home. Instead of forcing us out, he sent over desserts for us to try and they were again amazing.
I’m extremely grateful for the service we received and blown away by the quality of the food. I would highly recommend El Dorado Kitchen as a must do if visiting a Sonoma or Napa.More
