If your staying at the hotel or live locally, you don't have to go downtown for a fine meal. We sure like the plaza area but we can come here for a nice environment and food. We have only had brunch so we need to return for dinner and wine tasting. Food selections are typical for Sunday brunch and we... More

While staying at the Lodge at Sonoma Renaissance Resort, we went to dinner with our two kids (10 &11) after a long day of travel from the East Coast. The service was exceptional and both the food and wine were fantastic. We had the rack of lamb for 4 and it was amazing. We highly recommend this restaurant.

Even though we have lived in Sonoma for the last 4 years we had not tried Carneros Bistro. Well I'm glad we finally did. Everything we tried was amazing. We started with the Dirty Oysters as recommend to us by our server and the shared the Saffron Lobster Risotto and the Wild Boar Ragout. I would change a thing about... More

The food was very good, as it has been in the past. The service was close to the worst I've ever had. Only one other table occupied when we were seated. A few tables were seated after us and were serviced by a waitperson. No one has been to our table. Finally someone came to our table. We asked for... More

This could have been a 5/5 but for couple of misses !.... Attached to the Lodge at Sonoma, A Renaissance property, this place surpassed all our expectations. Dinner on a busy evening. We shared several appetizers -- Pickled seasonal veggies, Sauteed Mushroom medley, Grilled Octopus.. All superb. Octopus was done amazingly-melt-in-the-mount-well.. We then had some daily Poke which was really... More

In just about any other location, this would be worth five stars. The tapas-style dining atmosphere was pleasant, food was creative and good quality. The service was good but not outstanding.

We liked so much we ate here 2 nights in a row. I recommend even if you're not staying at The Lodge (Wouldn't recommend the menu for young children, although there were some there and it was fine but not sure what they would eat.). We didn't try Carneros on our first trip and ate in downtown Sonoma but this... More

Do not let the location of this restaurant located at The Lodge Hotel stop you from going. They have a new menu with a new concept, small plates to share and large plates to share. We were greeted by Chef Andrew, welcome back Andrew. We had grilled veggies and octopus for starters followed by the Liberty duck for two. All... More

Absolutely delicious. I've been thinking of it several times since visiting there. I even looked up the recipe to see how hard it is to make. It looks pretty hard. I wish I had ordered a quart to take home LOL. The service is first rate. I would also recommend the truffle fries. They were addictive. It was comfortable and... More

Arrived for a late lunch. Restaurant had 3 tables occupied (not very busy), but had to wait 14 minutes for my server to show up to even bring water. I ordered the fish tacos. They were delicious and worth the wait. Bad start, good ending.
