European portion sizes and wonderful flavors. My fiancé and I got the mussels, mushroom risotto, and duck which were all amazing. We were even given a bag of free chocolate sea salt cookies when we had to wait a few extra minutes for our food...to be prepared. COVID precautions are excellent, with a small outdoor facing window where they are doing pickup orders only. Would be the perfect compliment to a day of wine-tasting, whenever Sonoma re-opens.More

Wonderful food with normal average prices. The staff was so sweet. The gave us a complimentary cheese plate with champagne to congratulate us on our engagement. Thank you for making our last night in Sonoma so special.

As usual Girl and the Fig was terrific. My waitress Jasmine went out of her way to welcome me. Her recommendation of Mataro to accompany my food was spot on. Continues to be my favorite restaurant in Sonoma and recommend it unequivocally!

We had a fun evening here, even though we were sitting in the street. The staff were so helpful and attentive, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was engaging. Definitely try it if in the area.

This was our 2nd visit to "the girl & the fig." The last time was a couple of years ago (pre-Covid) when we could sit at the bar inside. We took a quick 3 night Covid getaway to our favorite Sonoma and made reservations in...their lovely garden. It was very Covid Safe and a great evening. We loved our waitress Jasmine - great personality and so attentive. I had the quiche and frites and my husband had the steak and frites and both were delicious. We shared a bottle of red wine and with a generous tip, the bill was $77. It was a wonderful evening and we would highly recommend it. When in Sonoma we always enjoy staying at the BW downtown which is an easy walk to the square. We also had dinner at nearby HopMonk and like that a lot too.More

We stayed at the Lodge at Sonoma and biked here for dinner. We sat "inside" but it was still outdoors which I recommend! I feel like the ambiance sitting where we were vs the street would be completely different but I get they are accommodating...for COVID. Upon arrival we were sat and soon got our order taken but then basically forgotten which is mainly the reason for my 4/5. I get it's COVID but man we had ordered a starter and cocktails and did the get either for 20 mins! We did complain to our server who blamed COVID but we went to another popular restaurant the night after and had no issues. I do wish there were more starter options. Limited selection and mostly charcuterie. We did get a charcuterie though and it was good! They had avo toast which I thought was really odd? That's typically a brunch item? I got the flounder and it was AMAZING. my husband had the pork and he absolutely loves it! The cocktails were decent and we were so underwhelmed by our desert. Our server recommended the "puffs" and I was expecting more of a fluffy croissant with ice cream inside but it was literally a bread roll stuffed with ice cream. A bread roll like what you snack on before dinner. I thought it was odd. Why wouldn't it be something sweeter? Overall the ambiance here was so cute and our main entrees were really good!More

I loved this restaurant. After touring the city by bike and hitting a couple wineries, it was wonderful to sit on the square and eat from a great menu. Loved the frozen bar drinks and a walk around the square after. Thought the service could...have been better but give brave in Covid.More

I have heard a lot about this restaurant, because my wife lived, and worked there for years. We could only eat on the sidewalk on a cool night across the street from a bunch of trash containers🤔 we found our food to be uninspired. I...had the steak, and fries. The fries were soooo thin, they were cold before the third bite, the steak was nothing to write home about.More

It's always a good idea to call and make a reservation. It's a VERY popular restaurant, and more so during "crush" (grape harvest). That said, my friend and I were able to walk in twice and get a seat at the bar. Enjoy!
