Small restaurant right in Sonoma Plaza. We had a helpful waitress who gave us some great recommendations. My chicken thighs were amazing! Lots of fun drinks and dishes featuring figs. We enjoyed our meal immensely

My hubby and I had an awesome dinner at Girl and the Fig last month. The food was super tasty and served hot. Our waiter, Rene, was really cool and took great care of us. The staff were all friendly and made us feel right...at home. Oh, and don't skip the moules frites, it's amazing! Just a heads up, this place gets busy, so make sure to book ahead. Now we get why it's so popular.More

Excellent presentation, nice flavors, good attention to the "done-ness" of the food. Creative combinations. I could eat here every week and never tire. My recommendation is that before you order, look at a few of the 900+ photos of their dishes online. It will give...you an idea creativity and range of dishes.More

We had made a reservation for Easter evening and I'm so glad we did! The service was wonderful and the ambiance of the restaurant is cozy and warm but the food was truly the star of the show. We enjoyed the Flounder so much that...we went back on our last night of vacation and had it again! Everything about our dinners was lovely and we can't wait to return.More

Fantastic food- great setting and wonderful staff. We had no reservations but were able to sit at the bar which offers a full menu. They are best know for their flounder but we ordered the smoked pork chop with toasted farro and pears and it...was easily the best I have ever had. Cooked to perfection ! The croque monsieur was incredible, generous portion with the best tasting ham. For dessert, their brandy crème brule was exquisite. Highly recommend this restaurant when in SonomaMore

We had good brunch food on the outside patio. We were told we could bring our service dog but the floor manager gave us so much grief about our dog being totally under the table of an ultra short leash. If you have a dog...then AVOID this restaurant at all costs!!More

We came here after hearing great things from a friend. We actually stayed at the hotel it's attached to many years ago and wanted to go back and try out this restaurant. My husband ordered the wild flounder meunière and I ordered the croques monsieur....Both dishes were delicious! We also got some chocolate chip cookies to go and they are exquisite.More

My wife and I stopped here for lunch on a romantic getaway for our anniversary and birthdays. The staff greeted us and was very welcoming. The atmosphere is pleasant and casual with Sonoma themed art by local artists. We started with cocktails which yes we’re...laced with locally produced fig syrup and we’re delicious. The Flounder is an original dish that has been on the menu for 25 years. It was amazing. If you like lemon, whipped potatoes spinach and capers this is definitely a dish you will love. The shrimp roll was hearty and fresh and equally enjoyable. When I’m Sonoma, make the girl and the fig a food destination- you won’t be disappointed.More

We called and wanted to sit inside but we were told they only had patio seating available and that they have heaters, so we said okay to the outside dining. This was our anniversary dinner and wanted to be comfortable. We wore some extra layers...of clothing and arrived. It was nice that they gave us a Happy Anniversary card upon arrival, but everything went downhill after that. They brought us to a INSIDE table squeezed between a four top and a six top up against the wall. Who would even consider seating someone for a special occasion between two loud parties. I told the host we were supposed to be seated outside. He said, oh sorry there was no note stating your request. I said it wasn’t my request it was the only thing available!! He then said it would be around a 30 minute wait. This place doesn’t understand that it’s about the experience their customers have which was going in the wrong direction for us, so we left. And my wife returned the hard felt card on our exit. This place serves food not good experiences.More

We had an amazing dinner at Girl and the Fig this past week. The food was delicious, well prepared and served hot. My husband and I had the scallops and the flounder. We both finished every bite which is both unusual and very telling about...the quality. Our waiter Rene was personable, helpful and very attentive throughout dinner. Service and staff were hospitable and friendly. The ‘cookies and milk’ dessert was fantastic and not to be missed! Be sure to make a reservation as this restaurant is very popular. Now we see why that is!!More

Went for dinner with another couple. Each of our entrees were excellent, the servers were very attentive, but gave you as much time as you wanted, and the outdoor seating is just so nice and relaxing.

It's always a good idea to call and make a reservation. It's a VERY popular restaurant, and more so during "crush" (grape harvest). That said, my friend and I were able to walk in twice and get a seat at the bar. Enjoy!
