This is a dining experience y'all! From the time we walked in with the smells and you can see the chef cooking back there and our waitress was uber - attentive! The restaurant is on the small side which means more attention to you and your meal...but also means they fill up quickly. We booked weeks (maybe a month) in... More

We have been here several times and the food is always incredible. The setting is elegant with crisp white tablecloths. Our servers have been knowledgeable and helpful with my husband's lactose intolerance. There is a focus on seasonal ingredients that I love.

My husband and I ate here and ordered the risotto with shrimp and we were both disappointed with our entree. It came out with a plate of risotto that I had to move my fork around in the risotto to find the very small shrimp. I expected a risotto base with sizable shrimp. I ate the small shrimp, some of... We quite agree with most who say this is one of Sonoma's top restaurants. We made our reservation a week or so in advance. We usually eat early, and would have had no problem being seated about 5:45. By the time we left, there were still one or two tables empty. We chalked it up to the cold, damp weather.... More

This was my first visit with a friend of mine. We were looking into downtown Sonoma for places to eat for dinner and researched through yelp and word of mouth. This restaurant had good reviews and recommended by our hotel concierge. We made a 715p reservation because if you don't it would be impossible to get in since the restaurant... More

The food here was excellent as was the staff and wine pairing. I highly recommend going for their fish options. The staff was extremely welcoming and offered some great menu suggestions and pairings. The location is right downtown and there is a parking lot right behind the building so parking was super simple.

Cafe la Hayes is a great restaurant! I had the salmon and my girl friend had the pork chop. They were both delicious and are waitress was super nice. It's not a big restaurant but it's a great one!

My wife and I spent a week in Sonoma and Napa to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary and on our first night in Sonoma went to Cafe La Haye. Limited menu but our dinners were very good.

This has become our favorite dining spot in Sonoma because of their attention to detail, wonderfully warm service and the tremendous food. Reservations are a must to get into this jewel right off the Sonoma square. The owner greets and seats you and makes great recommendations for pairing wine with your food selections. Menu changes regularly and is seasonally based.
