As a local in Sonoma, we don’t venture too far anymore with Cafe Le Haye offering outdoor dining now. It is the perfect compliment to the outstanding menu and superb service. The Petrale Sole was cooked to perfection, alongside the wild rice. The wine list...is a good selection of local as well as other Califoenia wines. Last night was another wonderful experience.More

Very nice dinner. It was a chilly night but the heaters on the outside patio made it tolerable. We both ordered the special (Risotto with prawns) and it was cooked well. The prawns weren’t huge but they were cooked well. Of the assortment of deserts...a few were gluten-free which was a plus. We ordered the flourless cake and the butterscotch pudding which were very good. Would definitely return.More

Cafe La Haye is our favorite Sonoma restaurant, and we have lived here for over 30 years. Since it's so good, it can be hard to get a table, but keep in mind that there are four seats at the "bar" reserved for walk-ins, so...we have sometimes been successful just walking in, even on a weekend if it's just the two of us. Go, and you can thank me later!More

Our meal at Cafe La Haye was hands down the best we had while in wine country for a long weekend. We enjoyed people watching outside at our distanced table. Each plate was flavorful and fresh. I was impressed how large of a portion we...got based on the prices. It was very filling. I especially appreciated the naturally gluten free dessert (a delicious fudge pie with a pecan-walnut crust).More

During "Shelter In Place", Cafe La Haye has a temporary, changing menu that is accessible via their website. They are also selling bottles of wine from their cellar. Those of you who visit often know how great their food is. While take away is available...from CLH year round, it is especially nice to have during this time of social isolation, and it allows us to support an institution that has longstanding importance to the community. Ordering can be accomplished via telephone or email. We will see you in the pick up line. Six feet apart. Be Well, Sonoma.More

Great food and wine choices. Service was good and not overpriced. First time there and will go back.

Cafe La Haye would be outstanding anywhere, and the fact that it is just steps off the Sonoma square makes it extra special. The setting is intimate, only about 12 tables. The menu is smaller but wit sometihng for everyone, and every dish is fantastic....Service is warm and friendly. Many excellent California values on the wine list - along with top Bordeaux and several vintages of Screaming Eagle for those with very deep pockets. Will need reservations for Fri/Sat at least 2 weeks in advance.More

We chose this due to other reviews we saw. It is a quaint, very small restaurant with cool artwork. Some of our choices were good and some not so good. What surprised me most was the inability to make modifications. We were not able to...order a vegetable side that was being offered on another selection. The service was not accommodating. The menu is limited, the server seemed annoyed and we felt rushed to leave. Most people were gone from restaurant by 8:30. Maybe it was time of year.More

A lovely experience. The atmosphere was cosy and the food excellent with each dish using the freshest ingredients. Portions were also generous. We ordered in total 3 dishes for starter, main and desserts, and the 2 of us shared them all.
