Awesome outdoor space with lots of tables and a high pitched tent with heaters. A good variety of beer on tap and a tasty menu. Though it says tavern it’s no dive bar, trendy spot with a few TVs inside.

Soentcc V a wonderful evening at HopMonk tavern in Sonoma. Matt Jaffe was playing. Great laid-back atmosphere in a beer garden. Wonderful local beers on tap. Food was great.. especially loved the goat cheese stuffed squash blossom and the grilled artichoke. Service was friendly and...efficient and atmosphere couldn’t be beat. Great fir couples, friends and families.More

Our extended family met for lunch. We had two tables in the garden which was perfect. We were all able to share a nice afternoon. Everyone enjoyed their meals and beer.

It's our 40th anniversary and we wanted to do a little COVID safe getaway. We are staying at the BW Sonoma (have stayed here many times and love it). We were here in January for Winter Wineland and had dinner at Hopmonk twice. For this...stay, again we had dinner at Hopmonk 2 nights and again we ordered the same meals as we like them so much: the chili verde and southwest chicken salad. So grateful to be able to make reservations on Yelp. Their outdoor patio is beautiful, the staff is very friendly, and we were very happy! Can't wait to come back! P.S. You can get their namesake beer for $5!More

The food, beer, service and music was great. The manager/owner spoke with us at length and was very genuine, giving lots of great local recommendations of places to visit. The bacon burger and verde chili were amazing! Their craft beers were on par for what...you would expect. It was low key with great service, hard to ask for more.More

We loved this place!! We were in search of a dog friendly place to have some wine & cheese before dinner. We happened upon Hopmonk, they have a warm & toasty enclosed patio with friendly staff and delicious food. We started with the Pumpkin Soup,...Stilton with Blackberry Jam on Toast Points (this was my favorite) and hubby wanted the chicken wings, (these were over cooked). Our puppy loved the fresh carrots that came with the wings and they were so welcoming to our pooch we will definitely be back!!More

A festive beer hall / gastropub just a few blocks from the main square in downtown Sonoma. Our group of 10 had a nice table in the room where they have live music. The menu has a lot of classics from burgers, fish and chip,...pulled pork to Nashville hot chicken, salads and tacos plus salads and a decent appetizer menu. Food-wise everyone was happy with the taste and quality. The service was a bit slow and definitely room for improvement. The place had a great vibe and nice setting.More

This would be a good place to have drinks but skip the food as it is not good. I had the grilled cheese and ham with garlic fries. It was average at best. The cocktail I had was good - something with fig in the...title. Service was good.More
