Tried the 38 North cafe inside the Fairmont Mission Hotel. Its a nice looking place with a more casual or informal feel. Has a bar and TVs for watching a game as well. We ordered the Pork wings, Brussels, and a couple IPAs. Sadly, the...food took a long time and when we finally brought it up, it was clear something went wrong between our server and the kitchen. Strangely, after they said there was a mistake and were going to get us some free salads in the meantime, our food immediately appeared (and no free salads). The food was good and the pork wings were tasty even if a little bizarre - they were basically a manicured pork leg made to look a bit more like a drummie, but quite tasty.More

After spa treatments, we sat up at the bar and had light food and fabulous wine. Our experience at 38 North Lounge was enhanced by our delightful bartender , Walter. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was very knowledgeable about wine and food...choices. Walter was great as was the food and wine. A “go to”spot if you are in Sonoma! And look for Walter!More

Melissa, with Manager Michael rose to the occasion on our arrival day. It was like all hands on deck when the check in crush happened, even a table of 3 needing quick departure for an afternoon vineyard tour. Michael made us feel at ease making...sure we were not lost in the rush. Chips with dips, avocado toast with shiitake bacon and of course champagne. Friday after dinner with Walter, could not of had anyone more accommodating, attentive with smiles, and several trips back to the table making sure all is well. We will be back to visit these folks in December.More

Ate here while staying at the hotel. The steak frites were delicious. Super tender and flavorful. The wine selection is ridiculous good and each served in its perfect state. Staff was friendly and attentive.

I wrote a lengthy review earlier from my wife’s account but I’m not sure if it was sent through ( so sorry if this is a duplicate) My wife and I were at the spa. We decided to come in and eat as it was...getting chilly. The bar had some kind of convention going on so we were on the fence about sitting down. Too loud. A server came up to us and showed us the menu on the table and said have a seat. The food looked good so we decided to stay. That server never came back. Finally we were approached by a sweet girl who asked if we had been help. I said we had not and she apologized and took our order. She came right back with our margaritas she suggested (spicy and sweet really good) she asked if we were staying at the hotel and we mentioned we were only in for the spa. It was really busy in the bar with that group so we appreciated her taking the time to talk to us. She made us feel comfortable. We even talked about the fact we were both in Rome in the same month and joked that we could of just missed each other. My partner is vegetarian. The server said she was too and suggested the hummas (not really a small bite like menu says but good) impossible burger which my wife absolutely loved. I had the lamb ribs (salty/hard to eat not very good) And a chicken salad. (Dressing was amazing) We had butterscotch pudding (very small but delicious) Some kind of chocolate cake/fudge with ice cream (a must order) We sat at Corner table close to the bar since the large group had taken up several tables on the other side. It’s very beautiful in there. Tvs with no volume but for some reason it was on spanish soap opera (which we thought was cute) until someone requested a baseball game so the bartender changed. The bartender checked up on us a few times. He was tall, kind eyes very charming gentleman. Never caught his name I wish I could remember the servers name.. also Tall very beautiful short curly hair. She made our time very enjoyable. She didn’t charge us for the lamb, gave us a discount and our first drinks free for the long wait. Glad we decided to come in after All.More

My partner and I were at the Fairmont mission Spa for the day. We had a lovely time together. One of the pools even has music playing under water. It was amazing. What really made the night is when we decided to head into the...Hotel Bar. It was a little loud and obviously had some type of company convention going on or something so we almost left. A woman approached us as we were looking around and asked if she could help us. She mentioned there was cocktail list and food menu on each table and said we could sit wherever we like. We decided to stay. We found a cozy spot in the corner. The original young lady never came back to check up on us so again we almost left. A new lady came up to us and asked if we had been helped and we let her know no one had. She apologized very sincerely and said she could take our order right away. She came back with the margarita she suggested to me (spicy and sweet yummmmy) and apologized again. She Even brought us some nice snacks. She introduced herself and asked if we were staying in the hotel and we told her we had just stopped by from the spa. The bar seemed really busy. We appreciated her taking the time to talk to us. We mentioned our trip to Rome and she had actually taken a trip herself solo the same month we were there. She really made us feel comfortable. My wife ordered the lamb ribs (salty not easy to eat don’t get them) Salad with chicken (she loved) I had a vegetarian burger that the server suggested who was also vegetarian (so amazing) Hummas plates (very large not exactly a small bite like the menu said) Shared a butterscotch pudding and some kind of chocolate cake apple cake. (Both are fantastic) We enjoyed our time together even though it was loud and busy. I wish I remembered the servers name. Very tall, beautiful curly haired woman. The bartender was reallt nice too. Service was great. Food was great. A little over priced but it was niceMore
