Starting to go out again, and this place is still great. The new Chef and menu are amazing. Had the short ribs and sun choke soup....Our friends ate the wings, street corn, winter salad and loved every bite. Socially distanced tables and very careful service...staff. Staff is great and friendly. Dress warm, even with their heaters. Nice job guys. Hidden gem in Sonoma.More

New owners. Saddest place. Patio is dirty and funky, dead plants, cracked concrete, ugly. I ordered chicken wings and a salad. Limp vegetables swimming in bottled sauce. In height of tomato season, huge hunks of tasteless tomatoes..why? Wings were stuck together in a puddle of...nasty bottled hoison sauce so salted my mouth puckered. Husband ordered pulled pork --bun, pork and obviously frozen french fries were the same weird shade of orange. Tried to tell waiter, who basically slid food across table as he ran away both times it was all too salty. He mumbled something and ran off. WHY BOTHER IF YOU DONT CARE?More

Stopped by to grab dinner and a beer. Talked to a guy who was taking in the advertising sign and asked him if they were closing. He said we can fit you in. I went back to the car to get my wife and dog,...and walked back to the gate...it was no more than 2 minutes tops. We were told by another waiter, that the place was closed. I told him that the other guy said we could come in. And he repeated - rudely "We close at 7!" Guess the restaurant is doing so well during the Pandemic that they can turn away a $60.00 patron. I don't come often to Sonoma, but when I do, I certainly WON'T be coming back here.More

Pandemic review here from a health inspector. Very impressed with their respectful and consistent virus controls. Fantastic service during happy hour from all in outside patio. Tables spread out properly. Same prices as HH before pandemic. Great music. GREAT! But I’m 60 and I like...the 60-70s rock. It’s the greatest in this patio envt. Met two staffers that I want to visit with next time I’m here. God bless. (Beerz and music is making me feel emo.)More

We went for the Valentines Day show, the place was packed with people, the room was great. Took you back in time, very cozy, cool wood walls, great bar when you enter. I think they said it was over 100 years old. We had the...three course menu, the music and food were killer. The food took its time, but who cares, we had a 2 hour main act show and an opening act for an hour. We had no where to go and the place was cool. Some folks seemed mad it was taking awhile to get food, but again, 3 courses what the hell people, that will take some time, DUH...The music was great, Johnny Cash group, the prawn tempura and the prime rib, KILLER. we even went back last night for the Mardi Gras party and danced all night. killer night, my group of 6 loved it. We will be back, and we don't even live in sonomaMore

We arrived on a Thursday to Sonoma. Wanted a quick casual bite. Not crowded at all, able to sit outside. Waiter was the best part of the experience. Food was average. Maybe if we would have gone on the weekend with live music, it might...have been a better experience. Would give it another try if we return.More

The Real is a mile away from our house in Sonoma and you can eat inside but we like to eat outside on the picnic tables. The food is great and the service is great. When you have a burger with fig and caramelized onions...you go strait to burger heaven! They have lots to choose from and you won’t regret going! Cheers🥂More

I love lobster rolls and this one did not disappoint. Excellent lobster and great French fries. My husband had the salmon dinner with potatoes and throughly enjoyed the dinner. We had a nice bottle of local white wine with our dinner. Pleasant ambiance inside. We...would have eaten on the patio but it was 96 degrees out so elected to be inside where it was cooler. Recommend this restaurant for a very enjoyable dinner.More

It really is. This restaurant was taken over by these new owners. The last chef was a chef and his food was made with love. These new owners, not so much. Ive tried this place twice, once when they opened, and just now... More
