Whenever you visit Solvang, make sure to go to Mortensen's at least once. The Marzipan Nut Horns are out of this world. The Danish selection is quite impressive.

One of my friends wanted me to bring them back a tub of cookies from here, they are really that good. I noticed they had eclairs, which I love, and this green squared pastry. The person behind the counter said the pistachio square was a popular item, and I can see why, it was so good.

We made sure we got something here on our stay. So I got the butter cookie tin, I should have gotten 2! They are amazing. And I also got a blueberry pastry again amazingly delicious! I just wish we would have gotten more!

The pastries are amazing Euro style so many to choose from I want them all. It's our favorite bakery in town. I often avoid it because I buy too many pastries. Very friendly staff. There is seating so you can have coffee tea and pastries enjoy the outdoors or sit inside.

Delicious light and crispy three danishes came to $12 but they were so good and so fresh. Sat outside on the patio is very clean and bright and everyone was really sweet. Would come here again.

Very unexpected stop on it way back from wine tasting. Sampled the waffle with buttercream and strawberry, chocolate eclair, and two cookie. All were great and very flavorful. My wife described her eclair as being on steroids. Only negative was the $17.50 price for 3 treats.

Wonderful Danish pastries. Light flakey & buttery.. Yum.! Grabbed a box to take on our trip up the coast. Try to stop here every time we head up the 101-fwy

Stopped here for some treats to bring home. I wish I bought more! We bought a tin of mixed goodies and there wasn't a single piece that wasn't fresh and delicious. The women working the counter were all fast and efficient.

We ordered the danish ring to bring our family members we were visiting. We all enjoyed it. Very fresh and buttery. They have cookies and many other desserts.

This is a must stop when visiting Solvang if you're into good Danish pastry. What I get back home in Virginia does not even come close to the type of pastry offered in this establishment. The selection offers you an experience like a child going into a candy store. The staff there is friendly and if you're inclined to eat... More
