I live only two miles away and love it. No cell bars there. Closed Tuesday through Thursday. Good for brunch Saturday and Sunday.

We were so excited when we discovered the Rainbow lodge had re-opened that we made sure to stop by for breakfast while on a road trip. We were pleased with our meal and the lodge so we reserved a room right then for the following week-end. We spent the next week telling co-workers, friends & family that we could hardly... More
Growing up in Northern California, living in Reno and Sacramento, I have driven by the Rainbow Lodge literally hundreds of times. I have always heard of it's reputation, but never stopped in. My wife and I decided that it was time. We took a scenic drive and ended up at the Rainbow Lodge and stopped to have lunch. The setting... More
Just off I-80, exit 168, on the south side of the freeway, this historic lodge recently reopened under new ownership. Having passed it 100s of times over the years, I decided to meet a friend there for lunch. What a pleasant surprise! So often when there is only one restaurant for miles, the food disappoints. I have been going to Rainbow Lodge Restaurant off and on for 35 years. Today I met a friend for brunch. Our waitress was great. I love eggs benedict and order it often. I ordered the eggs benedict with Canadian bacon for $13.00. When I asked to substitute avocado for the ham, I was told that there would be an... More

Unfortunately, an untimely water pressure problem had forced the restaurant to halt their service. Well, we were surprised and disappointed, but our friend Sandy spoke up... More
Stopped for lunch on our way to Nevada from San Francisco. Perfect to sit by the fireplace on this rainy, foggy day. The mushroom swiss burger with grilled onions came with fries ($12). Delicious! One order was enough for 2 of us. The service was excellent. We will definitely go back.
Stopped for a late breakfast on a busy Sunday morning. Warmly greeted by every employee we passed. Seated as quickly as they could, with a waitress immediately providing a menu and coffee. Good selection of breakfast items. Great tasting food. Adequate parking for RVs
We took a daytrip up to Soda Springs to have lunch at the re-opened Rainbow Lodge. My elderly father is in a wheelchair and he was perfectly accomodated. We enjoyed an inside table in the sun, overlooking the pretty patio and the quaking aspen's. A nice little fire warmed up the dining room. Dad really enjoyed his trout fish and... More
