Stopped here a couple times while traveling through the area. If you need a cup of coffee and a bite it will suffice but you do not walk away saying “mmm that was good”.

Loved this little cafe. Cinnamon rolls are amazing, as was the coffee and scrambled eggs. We’re at the Sierra Hot Springs lodge and their cafe is only open for lunch & dinner. Stopped on the way out of town to grab more cinnamon rolls!

We were at the Hot Springs literally down the street with no breakfast....and in the camping area. We hit the coffee shop early to make sure locals didn't clean them out. I had a GIGANTIC fresh blueberry muffin. My husband: hot coffee and another pastry...item. Looks like it is local owned and made right there. They also had a nice selection of other hot beverages and cold ones and plenty of snacks. Tiny inside space, but nice outdoor patio to view the town (which is LITERALLY a 'stones throw' long).More

Wowza! What an awesome and amazing treat! After a hot drive we arrived at this small restaurant. The turkey sandwich was one of the best ever! Bread was soft and tasty and the turkey was sliced and delicious! Veggies were so fresh! I also had...a fantastic iced coffee that rivals SB!! Highly highly recommend this restaurant!More

I stopped here for breakfast while on a motorcycle ride. I was very cold and needed to thaw out. I had a lot of coffee, a scramble with spinach, onion and bell pepper. Delicious toast and jamb. Great conversation. It is not an accident that...this place is very busy. Highly recommendMore

I arrived too late for a good breakfast, so they worked with me to create a fine lunch. I tried the Peruvian coffee which was mellow. Very nice and friendly young people working in the shop. I will go back for breakfast. Good seating, and...I had a chance to read my book. Beautiful scenery in Sierraville. Right next door to a furniture making factory. Yes, logging continues in the area. Homemade cookies and pies are available daily if you can indulge!More

Stayed at the Globe hotel and were thankful to find this small, friendly cafe. The latte was so good. We had the veggie scrambler, with fresh eggs and chopped veggies. It was not greasy at all. It only holds about 20 people, but it never...felt crowded. Some of the locals came in and visited. It was so nice, something not often found in the city. We never felt like the outsiders we were. They also have fresh oatmeal, homemade pies and cookies.More

Very small and very busy on the weekends. That is a good thing for a local place. I have only eaten their breakfast burrito and sandwiches. If you get a breakfast sandwich it will come plain so make sure you tell them what you want...on it. A lot of people who are not local do not know this. I hate coffee and yet I drink their coffee, girlfriend goes out of her way to go there. Also very good customer service!More

I discovered Smithneck Farms three years ago while on my way to a volunteer job with the USFS in sierra City (don't confuse with Sierraville). I go every summer for two weeks and ALWAYS stop at Smithneck for a meatloaf sandwich or something. A few...weeks ago I bought a large frozen blueberry pie to take home in my camper freezer where it waits the right time. This is a gem of a discovery and many in my volunteer group now make it "an every summer must stop." Don't blink as you pass through Sierraville. You wil miss it if you do!More
