This is your classic small diner, run by an outgoing overworked cook and her daughters who produce great tasting food in generous portions. The milkshakes from scratch are wonderful. The chicken bacon avocado wrap is huge and tastey. Drop in for a breakfast or lunch, 7 days a week.

The cafe is small, clean and accessible. The staff were friendly and efficient. The food was quite good, generous and hardy. Not a big menu however quite adequate. A good place to stop, refuel and get a little local history from staff

I was staying in Happy Camp so I drove the 36 miles roundtrip to eat at this place on Friday, but sadly is was temporarily closed for the day since the owner was dropping her daughter off at college. A huddle of sad and hungry people stood outside the cafe. Hmph! (Hands on hips.) I suppose you're entitled to have... More

Stopped at this locally owned cafe and had the best breakfast ever! We travel all over the country and just love it when we find a gem like this one.

Terrific diner food served hot and fresh. Serving only breakfast and lunch, my wife and I are weekly regulars here. Adequate portions of breakfast items, sandwiches, wraps, salads, and really good milkshakes. If you are a local, you must attend to keep up on the river gossip!

Had a great time when we needed to feed the kids. They were very kind and were happy to hear our daughters screeching with excitement at the toys they have there! Yummy food!

Recently on a bow hunting trip my daughter and I had the honor of eating at this establishment the first day we made it there late after we came down the mountain for ice in the near 100+ degree weather they had just closed almost 10 minutes but there was a few hikers coming out so I walked into see... Go here to chat with locals and the staff. Everyone I'd very friendly. This is NOT your typical highway cafe. It is tiny and geared to pacific crest hikers who can be dirty and smelly but fascinating to talk to. We had eggs, sausage, huge piece of ham, 1/2 order sausage gravy & biscuits (plenty). A fun experience and we... More
