I recently moved to Sebastopol and tried BBQ Smokehouse today based upon their positive reviews. I was beyond very disappointed. The beef brisket and the pork ribs did not smell or taste smoked. The dominate flavor profile was salt. The collard greens had so much...chopped rib meat and gristle in it that the greens were outnumbered. Way too salty and incredibly dry and flavorless. The cornbread, which was the highlight of the meal had a gummy and gelatinous bottom as it was undercooked. I will never return and confused as to how anyone could rate this food above 1 star. I feel that I was robbed financiallt as the price was outrageous for something I literally had to throw away because it was completely inedible. The staff is friendly, but the food is an abomination. If you're looking for an elegant setting. If you're looking for good, sometimes great barbecue and friendly, attentive staff, you've arrived. We found this place by accident but were not disappointed!

We found this place when we were looking around Sebastopol. This is a barbecue where the meat is so tasty you don't need sauce, but the sauces are homemade and excellent if you want them. We went there twice during our stay there and wish...we had one near us. The staff was friendly and helpful. The choices were good - though the burnt ends were already sold out by the time we got there. The sides were good. The price was right.More

Fabulous food, excellent bluesy style music! Hubby had brisket and pulled pork, delicious! I had bacon and bleu salad, just right! The atmosphere couldn't be better. Waitress was excellent!

The cowboy beans are the BEST I have ever had!!! They do not have beef ribs, but the brisket is good

The location is great. The waitress was awesome. But .. I was not impressed with the BBQ at all. I had the pulled pork sliders. Buns were soft meals and sweet. About 3-4 oz of meat was ok .. but it had no taste at...all. Two of the bottles of "sauce" on the table were basically straight vinegar. The third tasted more like a spicey catchup. The little bit of cole slaw was barely a tablespoon. I plan to try it one more time since I've heard good things .. but surely not the day I was there. Maybe if you get a whole big meal??More

We stopped in here for Sunday lunch on a holiday weekend. We were the only diners for awhile but when we left there were a few more dinning. We enjoyed the brisket sandwich and also the ribtips and cornbread. The coleslaw was very good!
