Always bring visitors here. We and they are NEVER disappointed in the taste, quality and preparation of the food. Fresh and tasty and enough for two meals (for me anyway!)

Perhaps it was just the dish we ordered, but we thought the food was a little too spicy. But if you like spicy, this might be your place! Wait staff was friendly and prompt, and the prices were reasonable. Conveniently located right on Fremont.

Amazing bowls, burritos, tacos, flautas, quesadillas, enchiladas, fajitas. Nothing like what you're used to at Chevy's or Chipotle. This is gourmet food in a very casual atmosphere. Everything is fresh. The creatively prepared delicate crunchy tacos don't contain the usual glob of sour cream and pile of cheddar. The bowls are amazing with their own special sauce. Fish options are:... More

We checked the internet for places to eat in Seaside and came upon the menu for Turtle Bay. Sounded like a good place to eat. We got there about 4pm and it was empty. Older and tiny place. Like café style. The cook and waitress were just adorable. So nice, polite and wanted to please us. I had the shrimp... More

I ate here years ago when the place had a different name. Decided to stop again on the way through Monterey in December only to discover it was under a new name turtle bay. I'm no expert on what is authentic Mexican coastal cuisine but we thought everything tasted really good. I had the steak quesadilla which was good. It's... More

Whenever I find myself in the Monterey area, I always dine at Turtle Bay Taqueria. My favorite dish is Seafood Combo (NOT the bowl which has cabbage and rice)... the one with linguini and lobster sauce with a bit of cheese (I ask to hold the black beans out). It is SO good. Everything at this small local 'gem' is... More

Tried this during a stay in Seaside as a local photographer recommended. It easily met the "dive" definition and it was obvious most of the customers are locals. The food was ok, could have been better if meat and fish were not overcooked. The cook needed to pull both a minute earlier. I'm glad I tried it, but probably wouldn't... More

Food was just ok. We had fish tacos, black beans, and rice. Our waiter was friendly and it is very clean. I was looking for a little more spice and flavor!
