The Saugus Café has been around a very long time; almost 130 years in fact; once you come here you will understand why. The wait staff is friendly without being in your face and the portions are very good and best of all they taste good. The specials are written on chalk boards above the kitchen area and there are... We've been to the Saugus cafe many times. After watching friends of the hostess / waitress seat friends ahead of us and others after we had waited for 25 minutes I challenged her. She was rude, used foul language and told lie after lie while defending her poor choice. To make matters worse the food was wrong and cold. We... More

This was a must stop when I heard how old this place was. Went here for ice cream an shakes...was pleased. They say this is the oldest restaraunt in Santa Clarita. Place looked it...but service was fantastic and ice cream was solid. When back in the area, I will go back. Kids loved it.

Enjoyed a hearty meal at a historic Santa Clarita Valley cafe. Good food, warm hospitable service and reasonable prices! My breakfast consisted of a short stack, hash browns, scrambled eggs, orange juice and a bottomless cup of joe. All reminiscent of a good old home cooked meal like mom makes. I look forward to my next visit.

We arrived at 10:30 am for breakfast and were told 20-25 minute wait. One hour later and after many trips to the hostess station checking to see where we were in line, we noticed they were seating people who had arrived after us. When questioned, the hostess who looked to be about twelve years old said, well, they are a... More

Opened in 1886, this is the oldest cafe in Santa Clarita Valley. When we walked inside, we were greeted by smiling and friendly staffs. They haven't done much update on the decor which is a good thing. You can feel the history of the place like going back in time. Breakfast selections are good and reasonable. This place has a... Heard from a friend about this place and had to try it. He said the salad croutons were out of this world and they were. The amount of food you get is incredible, you will not go away hungry. The staff were over the top friendly, my only negative is that the place could use a good cleaning is all.

This restaurant is a big film location, so some weekdays it is not open. Average diner food and service, but very popular, especially for weekend breakfasts.

If you like the ambiance of diners from a bygone era serving big portions of good comfort food at prices a ranch hand can afford, then The Original Saugus Cafe is for you. Located on Railroad Avenue (name was changed from San Fernando Road) in what was once the town of Saugus near Newhall Ranch and now Santa Clarita, this... More

This is one of the oldest diners in Valencia and is open 24 hours a day. It has a classic style, familiar from so many American movies. We went there at about midnight because everywhere else was closed, but there was still several other diners in there with us, including some good old boys in Cowboy hats and boots. Don't... More
