Enjoyed some novel and refreshing food creations, along with absolutely great and professional service. We shared three appetizers: fried four gras, shrimp in a garlic sauce, and a nice antipasto ("Taste of Spain") - all good. Then we had mushroom rigatoni (superb!), liver and onions (very good!), beet salad, and a special vegan mix. The Muga Rioja was a very... More

Mediocre at best! The cava was warm, the paella wasn't hot, the menu is odd. Service was good. I expected much more from a restaurant in this area of superb dining.

Went there twice recently and both times the food and service were excellent. The trout and Argentinian grilled steak were delicious. Also tried the halibut but did not like the way it was presented. The fish itself was very good but it was placed on top of a soupy ingredients and made the fish soggy. Choice of desserts is limited,... More

We go here once a month, and we just love it. The atmosphere is warm and cozy - there's a main dining room, an outside seating area (with ample heaters to keep it nice), a separate room for parties, and even another dining area in the adjacent building that they open for large parties. We reserved that separate room last... More

We went there for my daughter's birthday. The food was very good and the service was great. The decor was a little dowdy, but overall it was an excellent experience.

Great experience, very warm and welcoming staff. Felt like a neighborhood coffee shop, with high end food and a great wine list. For sure not the last time I will go there

The Basin provides the best combination of overall atmosphere, great bar, interesting and variable selection of dishes and outstanding service, all for a reasonable price. Our restaurant to go to in Saratoga, hands down.

The boss greets you at the door in jeans and a flannel shirt. This is not a pretentious, stuffy restaurant. Make no mistake though, the food and the service are everything one expects from a high quality fine dining restaurant in a highly competitive area. There are many top-notch restaurants on the block and The Basin is among the best.... More

First, let's get the obvious out of the way; OpenTable says this is a $$ restaurant. When a glass of wine starts at $11 for the cheapest no-name wine that probably cost $9 for the whole bottle, you know this is not a two-dollar-sign restaurant. A glass of Figge Pinot Noir was $15, and a bottle was $60. This is... More

I eat seafood everywhere, especially when on a coast and my halibut here was cooked to perfection! They were very accommodating with my gluten allergy as well. I was even able to eat their truffle fries, which was a bonus. Our server helped us choose a delicious wine tho pair with our meal.
