The food is a mix of Indian and Nepalese cuisine, and is an interesting mix of curries, tandoori and other regional specialties. This is a larger place than the sister restaurant in Glen Ellen but they both offer much the same menu. An extra treat is that there is live jazz music on Saturday evenings, which is hard to find these days!

Serendipity!

I had no idea this place even existed. It was recommended by a family member when I was in Santa Rosa visiting. I didn't eat inside but it looked like a nice place when I went in to pick up my order. I got the chicken curry and the buttered naan bread. It was all very good and worth another trip back next time I'm in town. I have to give honorable mention to something that showed they really do appreciate our business,. I tried to order before their actual opening time and got a recording. But my number must have been on their caller ID because a couple minutes later they actually called me and told me I could order early and that they'd have it ready about ten minutes after opening time. I thought that was very considerate of them and it was highly appreciated since I am from out of town and was on a tight schedule. I send them my gratitude for going the extra mile.

Great modern Indian food.

Great food, atmosphere, service and value. We’re staying at the nearby flamingo resort which has limited dining options and is overpriced. We searched nearby restaurants and found Yeti. What a find! Highly recommend

Even worse now during COVID

My last review was dismal, but it's even worse now. $22.99 for a prawn curry that had only four prawns in 1 1/2 c. of gravy. The samosa was so greasy and overly salted that I couldn't eat it. I was desperate for a break from cooking, but this was no break, except for a break for good food!

I eat at this restaurant any time I am in Santa Rosa so 2 or 3 times a year. It has always been wonderful. It is part of the things I look forward to any time I am in the area.

Unique flavors in each dishes

Each dishes has different flavors.Many Indian restaurants use the same sauce for many of their dishes. But not at Yeti.Their lamb shanks are outstanding! As are their traditional chicken and vegetable dishes especially their eggplant dishes.Their staff is kind and helpful.

Attracted by positive recent reviews and fish dishes other than tilapia although appreciate that tilapia works with curries. Interesting decor with floor plan rather like a cruise ship main dining room. Pleasant service but felt that waitress trying to get us to overorder.....we resisted and had more than enough for the 4 of us. All the portions were generous. We were disappointed with the mahi mahi dish and l didn't appreciate the large fishbone in my serving. To be fair the rest of our group thought that the restaurant was very good

More Indian than Nepalese, but Very Good

Suggested by our granddaughter and was pleasantly surprised. The food was tasty and surroundings were just right for a nice chat while eating. We tried a number of Indian dishes and all were tasty. I'd rate this as enjoyable pleasant - just a tad under very good. Would go again.

One of the better (or best) Indian restaurants in Santa Rosa

Being part of a family that has owned Indian restaurants on the East Coast, and have tried many restaurants that were far from the quality expected - Yeti is a very pleasant surprise. The buffet is very good, and the complimentary Naan they provide (both butter and garlic naan) is always fresh. It is primary North Indian Curries but they have a few South Indian options once in a while. It is always consistent, which is not true for the other Indian restaurants I have visited in the area

We recently came for the Buffett. We have been here before. Good selection of food. Food on Buffett was not as hot as I would like - this is a concern. Old style buffett table. The cooked food on the buffett was at best luke warm. Great Nan Bread. Ordering from the menu was better. We have been to the buffett 4 times over the past year and the Buffett is no longer my favorite. The Service for Buffett is slow - had to wait for drinks and Naan. What was once my favorite Indian Buffett is now marginal.

Great Indian food

We've now been to Yeti twice for dinner, and had delicious food each time. We all enjoy Indian food, and the dishes at Yeti are especially good. From na'an through entrees, to sweet rice dessert, we couldn't get enough. Service was also good.

Plentiful Portions of Indian Food

My husband and I thought we'd have a light dinner, so ordered a number of appetizers from the menu. It turned out to be vast quantities of food that we enjoyed. Much of what we got was deep fried, so advise to ask more about the dishes before ordering.

Always A Repeat Diner At Yeti On Farmers Lane

Lots of atmosphere and plenty of parking plus conveniently located not too far from downtown Santa Rosa, this Yeti location had a nice exotic atmosphere and generally the food is very good. Having eaten here many times, my only complaint is that the service is not always great. On this recent visit the waitress basically after seating us, ignored us until I finally had to summon her to take our order. Surprising since the restaurant was only about ten percent filled with diners. The food ordered was very good as always. Enjoyed were the Began Bartha (creamy eggplant) which is delicious with the garlic Naan bread. The Shrimp curry was filling and the mildly spicy sauce with coconut milk was delicious. The lamb in the Vindaloo was very tender but even after telling the server to order it mild, it was still uncomfortably too spicy hot to enjoy and it was mostly uneaten. So beware. A full bar, with wine beer and draft beers.
