We went with our family and it was an horrible experience. My husband and my daughter had ants in their glass, food was no good and service was very slow and very unprofessional. We will never go back there

I attended a luncheon party and we had wonderful service and great food. The staff were all professional and helpful. We had salmon, chicken saltimbocca and pesto gnocchi and everything tasted great. The ice cream tasted home made. The view of the valley with the...start of fall was amazing. It is close to Farmer's lane shopping but feels peaceful and remote. We even had wild turkeys greet us as we drove up.More

This is one of those old school Italian restaurants that everyone in town knows about. It has been there for many years and is a staple in Santa Rosa

A landmark in Santa Rosa. Fantastic food, service and cocktails. View is a great chance to see Hills and Valleys of Sonoma County

We went here last night because of a recommendation. Won’t listen to them anymore! Interior from the 70’s and food leftover from then too. Lettuce was ok. But cooked food was chewy and added shrimp were cooked twice obviously! Service was ok.

This place has the feel of a restaurant that has been around forever. It is in the style of a a 1940's/1950s Italian dinner. Things to praise include the drinks (well made and nicely priced), any fry (calamari, veal, etc) was nicely done - crisp...and not greasy nor burnt. The side dish vegetables were al dente. Ambiance allowed for conversation. The setting was about people getting together, not someone blasting music. The downsides - the veal picatta sauce was heavy handed and salty. The penne side dish wasn't particularly flavorful - the cheese was a mystery. The veal parmigiana was okay, with adequate sauce and cheese, but the sauce was non-descript to me. The server seemed to disappear periodically, water glasses weren't refilled and drink orders were mixed up. Not bad, but I'm not going back.More

I’d like to do a shout out for the great service we had for my mother’s celebration of life. They were on top of communication, service and the meals were yummy. I can’t thank them enough for helping us out. I’d recommend them for any...large group gatherings you plan. Thanks staff!!More

Love to come here with family and friends. Their food is consistently good and the service is friendly. Ordinarily I would give it 5 stars, but this most recent visit our waiter had significant language difficulties that made it hard to order. However, when he...brought us our check, he suddenly became extremely fluent and asked us to tip him handsomely because he had three children! This was extremely off-putting. Nonetheless, the food is good and the bar is well stocked, and we will definitely come here again.More

The long steep drive up the tree flanked road brings one from 2018 to 1950. The faded white stucco sprawling but simple building with rambling parking areas on three sides hints at a more glamorous time. Stepping through the doors into a very plain and...mundane entrance one immediately sees the once lavish ding room ahead with a running wall of floor to ceiling windows that commands a wonderful view of the distant hills and pieces of the city below. Beige leatherette half round upholstered banquettes are intermixed with small free standing tables under the high ceilinged dining room. Dated and worn this restaurant that screams for remodeling so it can shine as a star on it'd own little hill top, still earns my respect for it's ability to continue to survive among the more glamourous competition. This recent revisit offered an updated more simplified menu that retained it's old classic offerings. The Sole with egg batter crust was a huge, moist perfectly cooked fish, the lamb shank was delicious and tasty as was the roast chicken. The medley of vegetables were perfectly cooked not too soft, and the pasta side was coated with just enough pink tomato sauce. Very reasonably priced to include a soup or salad and generous portions. A full bar, wine list and corkage makes going to this restaurant very appealing. Our waiter was wonderful, friendly and made us feel very much welcomed and at home.More
