Although I have lived in Sonoma County for four years I just discovered Monti's (where have I been?). It was my third time having lunch here and this time I brought a friend. It's been wonderful each time. Between the two of us we had:...calamari, sautéed prawns, barrata cheese, and mussels. All of which were five stars (out of five). We finished with the gluten free flourless chocolate cake. I'm a flourless chocolate cake connoisseur and this was one of the best. The drinks were yummy too. My friend had a great lemonade and I had a grapefruit and lavender spritzer. I was also lucky enough to have Abelino as my server each time and he is incredible. We also enjoyed the outside dining area which is helpful during this time of COVID. What a wonderful find. I'll be eating at Monti's frequently.More

As the wind was whipping breezily through the outside of Monti's, space heaters were going and the sun kissed my bare shoulders we were seated in the sunniest corner. Our lunch was incredible! Mom and I had the quiche special. The good news is that...the side salad was to die for with the red cabbage and the white cabbage with a lemon pepper vinaigrette and candied almonds. Serious crunch! The quiche consisted of a special cheese and mushrooms. That was good, but was served to me a bit cold. Our friend Wendy, had a prawn salad. The bread and butter were delightful but the butter melted quickly in the sun. Coffee was great in the French press. All in all, food was good. Service was good. Not a kid friendly place. Reservations are strongly recommended. Nice bar scene. Space heaters on request.More

Met a friend for lunch at Monti’s. The food was fresh and tasty. The Hummus on flatbread was like a hummus pizza with feta and olives. It was very good, except I would have liked more hummus. The cheese plate (I had 3 cheeses) was...ok. The honey was really delicious and I’m not a lover of honey. The service was efficient and very friendly. The restaurant was crowded so we sat outside on the patio under a heater. It was very comfortable. I would recommend this restaurant.More

It was our third time back to Monti's. The staff does not seem happy at all. Comes across as rude. This has been apparent at every visit. Food is wonderful, too bad the staff does not match that. Third time and and won't be back.

My husband and I went there twice. The first time, we were extremely disappointed by the food. But we decided to come back today, try something else on the menu, and trust those who keep on saying that this place is great. After all, it’s...a Starks restaurant, isn’t it ? Unfortunately, we were disappointed again. I took the hanger steak. The meat was good but the sauce totally ruined it. It was served with French fries with rosemary (ok) and Gorgonzola (???!!!). The whole entree was really weird. My husband took the lamb burger and was also disappointed. The pickled vegetables were too sweet and the whole burger meh, even if the meat was good. We will never ever come back. It’s too pricey for what it is. The staff was nice, though... And the terrace charming.More
