Wow, everything was amazing! The bread, the cheese, the salumi, caesar salad was one of the best I have had and I am picky about my caesar salads. We had the lamb and talk about wonderful, every bite was a delight. Man I wish I had a second stomach I could fill.

We recommended Zazu to new friends and all went together. We had a great experience from the moment we walked in the door. The server was very friendly and helpful. She walked me through each item on the menu telling me which ones were gluten free and even going back to check on one ingredient to be certain. The bacon... More

Located in the Barlow area, Zazu has a very upbeat interior with a large outdoor seating area in addition. The menu emphasizes pork dishes, though there is a noodle mushroom stroganoff (which I found too rich) and wonderful Brussel sprouts as a side. The problem is the service, inattentive, painfully slow, and unresponsive to requests. To wait almost a half... More

I'd eaten at the Zazu several times last year when it was at the Barlow since it screamed "ambiance," and I'd always found the food to be remarkably meat heavy although my carnivore friends dragged me there. I personally do eat chicken and fish, but almost everything had pork in it, so I ordered the tomato soup with grilled cheese... More

ZaZu is an edgy looking open bar and open-kitchen restaurant with a laid back atmosphere. We had their signature burger, which I would rate as just average. Their small plates were interesting and good but not over the top; we had the figs wrapped in bacon, beets with orange peel and pistachio, and chili dusted fritters.

This used to be a great spot to eat. Not anymore! The portions are so small and it is so overpriced. I would never go back and not recommend this place to anyone. There are so many great places to eat in Sebastopol. Oh, almost forgot that they automatically include a 20% tip! What's up with that ??? I usually... More

I've been to this restaurant three times and have never thought wow what a wine country gem. This was the last time. It's really too bad because the outside setting is very nice and the service was fine but for the quality and amount of food you get it's just way too expensive! I had the bacon waffle with the... Recently returned from California, this was the fourth time we ate at Zazu. When Zazu was a it's old location we first ate dinner there. It was awesome, we loved the zucchini fires, the burger and the trip through the garden. In 2015 we tried them out in the Barlow and ate lunch. Lunch was delicious. This year we have... More

Ordered 4 dinner (3 pasta and 1 friend chicken) with 2 drinks (non-alcoholic) were $160. Took awhile for the food to come out. Food was OK but the portions were very small. They were not very busy so I don't know why they took so long for the food to be served. Probably would not go back.

We had been to the old Zazu and really liked it. The new digs are a big upgrade but the menu is not as special or as pork centric as the old place. That said, we had a really good meal. Everything was well prepared and presented but just not as unique as what we had at the old place.... More
