This is one of my very favorite restaurants. I recently went on a weeknight with three of my girlfriends to celebrate my birthday. We all had the prix fixe, and what a treat! A smooth and elegant shot of mushroom leek soup was offered as the amuse bouche; I could have eaten a bowl full! This was followed by a... More

Had a family dinner here. My first time but a place my parents go often. I really enjoyed it. Cozy, classy neighborhood restaurant feel. Small. Comfortable seating. Great, friendly service. Nice wines. Pris fixe menu and al a carte. Fresh bread and butter provided to the table. I started with a shrimp appetizer that was something of a twist on... More

We went here to celebrate a special occasion and were not disappointed! This is a tiny little place, but well worth finding. They celebrate Northern French cuisine, and it is spectacular. We started with the Foie Gras, which is hard to find on a menu in Northern California. It was very good. I especially liked the spice bread that came... More

Dropped in on a Wed. evening during a two nite stay in Santa Rosa and had a wonderful dinner. Attentive service, family atmosphere, friendly diners (locals sitting next to us). All our starters and entrees were excellent, especially the onion cider soup, brick oven chicken and steak frites. Prices quite reasonable and portions generous. Best meal we had in Santa... More

Our group of six (three couples) stopped here for appetizers during a progressive dinner tour in Santa Rosa. We had no reservations, but called five minutes prior to our arrival. When we entered, they were finishing setting up a table for us...great service! We then sat, unattended, for too long before being greeted by our server. When she learned that... More

As a Frenchy, I thought it would be fun to visit this little French gem in downtown Santa Rosa. Let me start by saying that the service was absolutely top notch. Really. And that ranks high in y books. I was poured a glass of wine that was no good. And I must have made a face because minutes later... More

Okay food but the dishes were uneven. For appetizers we had the heirloom tomato soup which did not live up to its billing. I had the red snapper for my main course - it was excellent. The profiteroles were good but had way too much chocolate sauce on them. The service was average; we had to ask several times for... More

My friends and my wife had the prix fix meal with a pork chop main dish that was ordinary tasting. Their dessert was good. I had the foie gras with delicious breads , a tangy dressing on a bib lettuce salad ,and fried anchovies (that were more like smelt) that I would never order again because half tasted as though... This is wonderful French Bistro. Everything we had both nights we ate there was delicious. There's a midweek prix fixe for $29 from amuse bouche to dessert, extra for an accompanying flight. Don't miss it.
