Relaxing and just plain nice!

A very good local restaurant. Always friendly and welcoming. Love their soup! My husband is a vegetarian and very picky and he found a really nice dish that was NOT pasta primavera!!!!

Beautiful restaurant, unique food seldom found in this area and well-prepared, Service was lacking. Group of 9 for lunch - we made reservations so the size was not a surprise. Food orders came out haphazardly and slowly - as much as an hour and a half. Soup was served with the main course. Some orders were incorrect. Although I have... More

We needed to have breakfast here as our hotel did not offer that option. GREAT coffee place with a fantastic bakery with freshly baked goodies for breakfast, and a warm breakfast menu that starts at 8am. Fantastic interior with old photos of california's past and great atmosphere with a piano being played on and off by passer-by's.

This restaurant was recommended by our waiter at Enzo's (where we had dinner) as a good breakfast. We live in the South and I have been to New Orleans many times. While it didn't live up to my lofty expectations, it was a very good breakfast. Good coffee. Biscuits and gravy not as good as I am accustomed to; but... More

Traveled to Santa Paula from West Hollywood and we had the pleasure to dine here! DELICIOUS BREAKFAST! Service was a little slow which prompted the four star rating but all in all we really enjoyed it! I have to say the coffee is very good here. Full of flavor and you can tell it's a craft coffee, none of that... More

You are missing out on a delightful experience if you drive past Santa Paula on Hwy 126. Stop and spend some time exploring the museums, murals and sculpture of "the Citrus Capital of the World" then enjoy a meal at Rabalais Bistro. It's a little bit of New Orleans in the Santa Clara River Valley. You can dine inside or... More

We stopped by on the recommendation of a friend and weren't disappointed. We ordered Beignets and were not disappointed. They were made fresh and served hot and dusted with powdered sugar. Three of them came on a plate and were enough to satisfy my wife and I. I also ordered a cup of their Gumbo and it was full of... More

Eating at Rabalais Bistro is a quite unexpected treat when out in little Santa Paula for sure. Initially hard to imagine that the serve really great authentic New Orleans / Cajun food this far from Louisiana, but the so. Gumbo, jambalaya, etouffe et al plus darn good beignets for desert. Yum! Enjoy. ...

My friend asked me last night what to have at Rabalais because she had never been there...I could not think of a favorite because I like EVERYTHING I've tried there thus far, and I've had breakfast, lunch and dinner on countless occasions. I love coming here because it's unique to Santa Paula and I "do lunch" almost every day and... More
