We stayed at a nearby motel and visited this coffee shop every morning. Other than the muffins, everything is made on site and is totally delicious. We tried the amazing frittata, a caramel apple pastry (OMG), and the breakfast sandwich. I had a Chai Latte every morning that was so delicious that I considered going back for seconds each day.... Really nice owners and some outdoor seating. Good strong coffee and limited breakfast menu but yummy.

We stayed at Sea Shore Motel next door. Foraging hopefully for coffee & munch, found this next door. Wonderful, full-bodied coffee, and an enticing array of baked treats on display. Italian owners very friendly. Great find.

We visited Amelia's cafe based on all the positive reviews it had received- and it didn't disappoint! We ordered two coffees which were the best we've had in the States (and we're from Melbourne!) Now the panini's were delicious! My husband said it was "the best sandwich he's ever had- possibly in his life"- now that could just mean that... More

Amelia's is just next to the Sea Shore Motel. Breakfast and lunch were great. The staff is very kind, efficient and friendly. Panini are yummy.

Probably the best coffee we had in the US 😍 And the food was amazing. The family service is friendly and we felt they really cared about us 🌹 If you are in the Santa Monica or Venice Beach area, do go there 👍🏻

We came too late, so they were about to close but the gave our kids muffins for free, so the mood stays up till we find another place. Everybody sitting there recommended the place - we will come back!

Initial thoughts was expensive due to the prices, however for the quality of food and portion size, absolute winner. The coffee is apparently awesome and much better than the American brand that many love. Absolutely worth popping if you hungry and want good quality ingredients. Oh the owner (I assume) is super friendly and funny. Great spot

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
