If you are anywhere near Boa, you should go. The steak was perfectly cooked and seasoned to perfection. The atmostphere is beautiful and we were seated right at our reservation time. I know there are two locations in the area but this one is located right across the street from the beach. We had a vegetarian at our table as... More

Chose terrace table. We could enjoy good table with comfortable wind here. I recommend to take a terrace table if weather is not bad. I got recommendation to have Tomahawk Steak which is good enough for the two. love it.

From the minute I arrived at this restaurant we was looked after by the staff. The 12oz fillet steak was the best steak iv ever had it just melted in your mouth. You must get the cheese and bacon mash it is unreal. Sides are quite big so one side between 2 would do you I was full off just... More

First the areas for improvement: the hostess and the waiter. The hostess took us to the worst table in the restaurant, in the bar area where the tables are low, the seats are low, and the noise level is high. This was 6:30 and the restaurant area was empty. After our comment that we wanted to sit as a normal... More

We are a family of five and wanted a special dinner in Santa Monica. Four of us love meat and one daughter is a vegetarian and we were all blissfully happy there. Service was excellent-menu was not huge but ample and all our selections were devine! Cocktails were interesting and bottles of wine were 1/2 price on Sunday-nice surprise! We... More

The service was excellent. I ordered the crab cake, bone-in Kansas City filet mignon, wild mushrooms, lobster mashed potatoes. Divine!

Spent a few extra days with 3 teenage daughters in Santa Monica/LA after a SoCal soccer tournament. Since all 4 of us are serious carnivores and kale is a bad four-letter word, we chose a really nice dinner at a steakhouse; also down the block from our hotel at Shangri-La. Since we equally love steak and seafood but no one... More

I was there on business this week and had dinner one night. Great for large group, there was nine of us. The beef was excellent. Highly recommend chipotle lime corn, delicious! Another must have is the goat cheese baklava, out of this world. Took me a little effort to coax my colleagues to try them both but thanked me later.... More

Had a meal at Boa - great location on the front. It was full and we had a nice bottle of red. My daughter and hubby had steaks - delicious. I ordered Dover Sole - it came rolled up - tasteless - the worst Dover Sole I have ever had. I complained and they deducted it from the meal -... More

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
